We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this time of distress, lifting your burdens before the Lord. Financial struggles and harassment from creditors can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). The threats and intimidation you are facing are not from the Lord, for He does not operate in fear or oppression. We rebuke the spirit of harassment and intimidation in the name of Jesus Christ, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the practical steps you can take. If these loan apps are operating outside the law, we encourage you to seek legal counsel or report their actions to the appropriate authorities. The Bible instructs us to live at peace with everyone, as much as it depends on us (Romans 12:18), but it also calls us to act with wisdom and discernment. Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." While we understand that borrowing may sometimes be necessary, we must be cautious and seek God’s wisdom in financial matters to avoid falling into such bondage.
We also lift up your husband’s medical certificate and the delay in his retirement benefits. This is a matter of justice, and we pray that the Lord would intervene on your behalf. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We declare that the hearts of those responsible for releasing these documents and funds would be turned toward you, and that the Lord would speedily bring resolution to this matter.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer. We ask that You would surround this family with Your peace and protection. Shield them from the harassment and threats of these creditors, and grant them wisdom in how to handle this situation. Lord, we pray for the release of the medical certificate and retirement benefits that are rightfully theirs. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). Provide for their needs in ways that only You can, and open doors that no man can shut.
We also pray for the restoration of their reputation and standing in their community. Lord, You are the God who restores what has been broken and makes all things new. Cleanse their name and let Your light shine through them, that others may see Your goodness and grace. Help them to walk in integrity and humility, trusting in You alone for their provision and protection.
We rebuke the spirit of shame and embarrassment that seeks to overwhelm them. In Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1), and we declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their provider and defender. Give them the courage to face each day with hope, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Finally, we ask that You would draw their hearts closer to You during this trial. Let this season be one of growth and dependence on You, rather than on worldly systems or solutions. Teach them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and trust that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
