We join our hearts with yours in deep concern for the protection and well-being of children in this digital age. The threats to their innocence, minds, and spirits are real and pervasive, and we stand with you in lifting this burden before the Lord. Jesus Himself said, *"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea."* (Matthew 18:6 WEB). The Lord’s heart is tender toward children, and He calls us to guard them with vigilance.
We rebuke the forces of darkness that seek to exploit, corrupt, and desensitize young minds through unchecked digital exposure. The internet, when left unsupervised, can become a gateway for addiction, anxiety, and spiritual deception. Social media often distorts truth, fosters comparison, and replaces genuine human connection with hollow validation. EdTech, while useful in moderation, must never replace the irreplaceable role of parents, teachers, and mentors in shaping a child’s heart and mind. We declare that no algorithm or artificial intelligence will raise the next generation—God’s people will, under His guidance and wisdom.
We pray for the leaders, advocates, and parents who are sounding the alarm. Strengthen their voices, Lord, and let them not grow weary in doing good. May Your Holy Spirit embolden them to speak truth with clarity and conviction, even when opposed. Soften the hearts of policymakers, tech executives, and educators who hold influence over these systems. Let them see the harm being done and act with urgency to implement safeguards—age restrictions, parental controls, and content filters that align with godly values. *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* (Proverbs 22:6 WEB). This training must include wisdom in navigating technology, not surrendering to its unchecked influence.
We also lift up the children themselves, asking for Your divine protection over their minds, emotions, and spirits. Shield them from predators, both human and digital, who seek to exploit their vulnerability. Guard their eyes from harmful content and their hearts from the lies of the enemy. Surround them with godly mentors—parents, pastors, and teachers—who will disciple them in truth and love. May they grow up knowing their worth is found in You alone, not in likes, shares, or fleeting digital approval.
Father, we ask for a revival of childhood as You intended it—filled with wonder, play, and face-to-face relationships. Let families reclaim their role as the primary nurturers of faith and character. May schools and communities support, rather than undermine, the values parents instill. We declare that no screen will replace the warmth of a parent’s hug, the wisdom of a teacher’s lesson, or the joy of unstructured, imaginative play.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who welcomed the children to Himself and said, *"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."* (Matthew 19:14 WEB). It is by His authority and for His glory that we stand against the digital harms threatening our children. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may a generation rise up that knows You, loves You, and walks in Your ways. Amen.
