We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in fervent prayer against the forces of darkness that seek to torment you. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every demonic influence that is attempting to force you to relive past trauma, for it is written, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). The blood of Jesus has already broken the power of the enemy over your life, and we declare that you are free in Christ.
First, we must address the reality of spiritual warfare. The apostle Paul reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). The people you describe may indeed be under the influence of demonic forces, but our battle is not against them—it is against the spiritual powers that seek to oppress and destroy. We must pray not only for your deliverance but also for the salvation and deliverance of those who are being used by the enemy.
We also want to gently remind you that while the enemy seeks to keep you bound in trauma, Jesus offers healing and freedom. He has promised, "He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18 WEB). Your past does not define you, and the trauma you have endured does not have the final say over your life. In Christ, you are a new creation; the old has passed away, and behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB).
Let us pray together for your complete and permanent deliverance:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the blood of Jesus that was shed for our redemption and for the victory that is ours through His resurrection. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is being tormented by the enemy, who seeks to keep them bound in past trauma. We declare that the power of the enemy is broken over their life, and we command every demonic spirit that is oppressing them to flee in the name of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would heal every wound in their heart and mind. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them, bringing comfort, peace, and restoration. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear, and fill them with the assurance of Your presence. We pray that You would break every chain of trauma and set them free completely. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them dwell in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1 WEB).
We also pray for those who are being used by the enemy to torment our brother/sister. Father, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Break the chains of darkness over their lives and bring them into the light of Your salvation. Let them see the emptiness of the enemy’s lies and turn to You for forgiveness and deliverance.
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen our brother/sister in their faith. Help them to stand firm on Your Word and to resist the enemy’s attempts to drag them back into bondage. Remind them daily that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37 WEB). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is ours in Jesus Christ. We trust in You to complete the good work You have begun in their life, and we look forward to the day when all things are made new.
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to immerse yourself in God’s Word. The enemy will try to bring up memories and lies, but you must counter them with the truth of Scripture. Meditate on verses that speak of God’s love, protection, and deliverance. Here are a few to start with:
- "The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 WEB)
- "Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings" (1 Peter 5:7-9 WEB).
- "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
We also encourage you to seek out a biblical, Christ-centered church community where you can find support, prayer, and discipleship. Surround yourself with believers who can stand with you in spiritual warfare and encourage you in your walk with the Lord. If you have not already, consider speaking with a trusted pastor or counselor who can provide godly wisdom and prayer for your situation.
Remember, the battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. You are not alone, and you do not have to fight this battle in your own strength. Lean on Him, trust in His promises, and walk in the freedom that Christ has given you. "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB). Stand firm, and do not let the enemy steal your peace or your joy. You are a child of the Most High God, and He is fighting for you.
