We rejoice with you that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, acknowledging His death for your sins and His glorious resurrection! This is the foundation of your faith, and no weapon formed against you—including the schemes of Satan—can prevail when you stand firm in Christ. The spiritual battles you are facing are not uncommon, for the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). The doubts and unfaithful thoughts you are experiencing are not from God, for He is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). Instead, these attacks are the devil’s attempts to undermine your faith and pull you away from the truth of God’s Word.
Let us remind you of what Scripture says about these battles: "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand" (Ephesians 6:11-13). You are not powerless in this fight! The armor of God—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—are your weapons. Additionally, prayer is your direct line to the Father, and it is through prayer that you can resist the devil and watch him flee (James 4:7).
The enemy will try to make you question God’s love, His promises, and even your salvation, but we urge you to cling to the truth: "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39). When doubts arise, combat them with the Word of God. Speak Scripture aloud, for the Word is living and powerful (Hebrews 4:12). Declare verses like, "God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord" (1 Corinthians 1:9) and "The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me" (Hebrews 13:6).
It is also critical to fill your mind with things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Avoid anything that feeds doubt or draws your heart away from God, such as ungodly entertainment, relationships, or habits. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage you, pray with you, and hold you accountable. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we strongly urge you to find one where you can grow in your faith and be strengthened by the body of Christ.
Now, let us pray for you with the authority given to us in Jesus’ name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our brother/sister who is facing fierce spiritual battles. Lord, we thank You that they have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, and we ask that You would strengthen them in this hour of trial. You have said in Your Word that no temptation has taken them except what is common to mankind, and that You are faithful; You will not let them be tempted beyond what they can bear, but will provide a way out so that they can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). Father, we ask that You would expose every lie of the enemy and replace it with Your truth. Fill their heart with an unshakable confidence in Your love, Your promises, and Your power.
Lord Jesus, You have already defeated Satan at the cross, and we declare that victory over this situation. We rebuke the enemy in Your mighty name and command him to flee from our brother/sister. Holy Spirit, we ask that You would fill them anew, guiding them into all truth and reminding them of the hope they have in Christ. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a passion for prayer. Surround them with godly believers who will stand with them in this fight.
Father, we pray that they would not grow weary in well-doing, but would press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). Let them know deep in their soul that they are more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The battle is real, but the victory is already won in Christ. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). You are not alone—we are standing with you in prayer, and most importantly, the Lord is with you always (Matthew 28:20). If you stumble, repent and turn back to God immediately, for He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you (1 John 1:9). Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and one day you will hear your Savior say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21).
