When someone praises something in an over the top way, to where they depend on it{or they}to solve all their problems instead of God, wouldn't that be idolatry? So on this particular holiday,as I see all the parents indoctrinating their kids that Santa Claus is the answer to everything for the kids{instead of teaching them God is}isn't that a form of idolatry? They're teaching the kids to believe in a mythical figure for all their needs,so if they believe "Santa" can do all that, why would they need God?{Idolatry? It may be seen as just "innocent fun", but the poison here is in putting the kids minds on Santa instead of God.The kids are being "good" so Santa can reward them with presents, not avoiding sin for Gods sake. But John in Revelation writes,"I saw a Great White Throne and Him who sat upon, from before His face the Earth and Heaven fled away, and no place was found for them".He didn't say he saw a fat guy in a red suit flying with reindeers in the sky. Also, "And whoevers name was not found in the Lambs book of life, was hurled into the Lake of Fire'{Notice it didn't say ""Whoevers name was not found in Santa Claus book was hurled into the Lake of Fire."Santa Claus is Santa Claus. God is God. A point?
