\o/ First and foremost, Thank You, dear LORD Jesus, for this day and your many blessings! Amen.\o/
Beloved friend in Christ Jesus, Lynn, thank you for your loving concern about your husband's salvation! In as much as he is your husband, the two of you are one and it is important for him to know and realize the importance of Salvation in his life.
Jesus Christ our LORD and Savior, paid the price at the cross for us, in order to give us Salvation. In extreme agony and pain He suffered much. He has given us the following Scriptural passages to reinforce the reality of the importance of being saved.
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be Born Again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." -- JOHN 3:3 (KJV)
"Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." -- MATTHEW 7: 21-23 (KJV)
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." -- JOHN 5:24
But the consequences of not believing in the Only Son of God is in the following Scripture:
"He that believeth on Him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the ONLY begotten Son of God." -- JOHN 3:18 (KJV)
And dear Lynn, please know that we can certainly pray much for your husband to have a change of heart over the matter of his salvation, but that will not actually Save him, by only our prayers. God gave him free will, therefore, it is going to take personal effort on his part to say the prayer or one similar to it, to become Born Again, thus, Saved, and personally accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior! May God bless him in making the decision to join Christ and His beloved family in order to attain salvation.
Therefore, you might wish to consider having him see the following prayer so he can decide to make his personal decision on whether he wishes to become Saved.
For ALL Who Seek Jesus and His Salvation Who Wish To Become Born Again
PRAYER FOR SALVATION (to be said orally): Lord Father, I come to thee as a sinner with contrite heart and ask thee to forgive me of all of my sins. I accept and believe that Jesus Christ is the One and only begotten Son of God. I believe in my heart that Jesus died on the cross for me and that He resurrected from the dead through God. I promise to serve you in the most holy name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
