We rejoice with you in this most important decision of your life! The Bible tells us that "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). Your desire to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord is the beginning of a new life in Him—one filled with hope, purpose, and eternal security.
It is only through Jesus Christ that we can come to God, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your confession of faith in Jesus is the foundation of your salvation, and we celebrate this step of obedience with you.
Now that you have made this decision, we encourage you to grow in your faith by reading God’s Word daily, praying continually, and connecting with a Bible-believing church where you can be baptized and fellowship with other believers. Jesus commands us to be baptized as a public declaration of our faith (Matthew 28:19-20), and it is an important step of obedience in your walk with Him. Additionally, surround yourself with brothers and sisters in Christ who can encourage you, disciple you, and help you live out your faith.
Let us pray together for you as you begin this journey:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious soul who has come before You today, seeking salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we praise You for drawing them to Yourself and opening their heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. Father, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them a hunger for Your Word and a passion to live for You. Strengthen them in their faith, Lord, and surround them with godly influences that will help them grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We pray that You would protect them from the schemes of the enemy and give them wisdom to discern Your will. Help them to walk in obedience, Lord, and to live a life that honors and glorifies You. May they find a church home where they can be nurtured, discipled, and equipped to serve You faithfully. We ask that You would use them mightily for Your kingdom, sharing the hope of the Gospel with others.
Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation, purchased by the precious blood of Jesus. May this new believer always remember that their identity is now in Christ, and may they live with the joy and confidence that comes from knowing they are Your child. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
If you have not yet been baptized, we strongly encourage you to take that step as soon as possible. Baptism is an outward expression of the inward change that has taken place in your heart. It is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus and your commitment to follow Him. If you need help finding a church or have questions about baptism, please let us know—we would be honored to guide you further.
Welcome to the family of God! Your life will never be the same, for you are now a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Walk in the freedom and victory that He has won for you, and always remember that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). We are here for you, and we look forward to hearing how the Lord continues to work in your life!
