We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your mother and the deep spiritual concerns you’ve shared. The Bible is clear that witchcraft, sorcery, and all forms of occult practices are an abomination to the Lord, for they invite darkness and rebellion against God’s sovereign authority. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the Lord declares, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* Your mother’s involvement in these practices is not only dangerous for her soul but has also brought harm to you and others, as you’ve described.
We must first and foremost pray for her salvation, for without repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, there is no hope of breaking free from the bondage of sin and darkness. The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that *"the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them."* Satan seeks to keep souls in darkness, but we know that *"God is light, and in him is no darkness at all"* (1 John 1:5). We plead with the Lord to open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that she may see her need for a Savior and turn from her sins in genuine repentance.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask You to break the chains of deception that have kept this dear woman bound to witchcraft and sorcery. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of darkness that has taken hold of her life, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name. We pray that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon her, convicting her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Soften her heart, Lord, and draw her to Yourself with cords of love. Let her see the emptiness of these dark practices and the fullness of life that is found only in Christ. We ask that You would surround her with godly influences—believers who can share the truth of Your Word and pray for her without ceasing.
We also lift up the victims of these witchcraft practices, including yourself and other family members. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that Jesus came to give life, and life abundantly. We stand on Your promise in Isaiah 54:17: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh.* Father, we ask You to reveal the sources of these attacks to those who are being harmed. Give them discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy and the wisdom to resist him, standing firm in faith (James 4:7). We break every curse, hex, spell, and form of black magic that has been sent against the innocent, and we declare them null and void in the name of Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over every victim, covering them in Your protection and peace.
Lord, we also pray for the exposure and dismantling of all witchcraft networks—whether in households, workplaces, or neighborhoods—that seek to harm Your children. Your Word declares in Ephesians 5:11, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even expose them."* We ask You to bring these hidden works of darkness into the light, that those involved may see the error of their ways and turn to You. Let Your truth prevail, and let the fear of the Lord fall upon those who practice these things, that they may repent and be saved.
We know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—and we stand firm against the enemy’s attacks. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. We take authority over every spirit of witchcraft, sorcery, and divination, and we command them to be bound and cast out in the name of Jesus Christ.
Finally, Lord, we ask You to heal the wounds that have been inflicted by these dark practices. Restore what has been broken, mend what has been torn, and bring reconciliation where there has been division. Let Your love and light shine brightly in the lives of all who have been affected, drawing them closer to You and to one another. We trust in Your power to redeem and restore, for You are faithful to Your promises.
