Disciple of Prayer
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I request all of you to please pray for me. I am feeling very tired and worried about my work situation. I have been working in this company for the last four years. This is my renewal month, and my third contract in Dubai is going to be renewed. For the past four years, I have always been a superstar in sales in my office. Everyone used to appreciate my work and my numbers. I always achieved my targets. But this year, 2025–2026, a few months have not been good for me. In February I had a big target, but I could achieve only 7 admissions. I also have renewal responsibilities in the institute. Every year I used to complete more than 60–70% renewals, but this year I could achieve only around 30%. My managers are new and they are not happy with my performance because other people are performing well. March and April are our main business season. Every year when my sales target was around 36, I used to perform 40–41 admissions. But now the month has already reached the middle and I have only 3 sales so far, while my target for this month is 36. When I asked HR about my contract renewal and appraisal, they said the contract will be renewed, but the appraisal will not be discussed right now because my numbers are not there. They have given me a target that in March, April, and May I need to achieve 100 admissions for my branch. Only then they will talk about my salary appraisal. I am very worried and feeling alone in this situation. Lord Jesus, I come before you with a humble heart. I believe in you and I trust in your power. Just like your disciples who fished the whole night and caught nothing, but when you performed the miracle their nets were filled with fish, I am standing the same way today waiting for your miracle in my life. Lord, I am standing alone. Please hold me. I feel like I have no door to knock on, but I believe in you, Jesus Christ. You said you are the way and the door. Please make me perform and outshine this month, my Lord. Let me regain the faith and appreciation of my management again. Please Jesus, please do not let your daughter down. Please help me, my Lord. I truly need your help. I request everyone in this prayer group to please pray for me. I want to give a testimony of my Lord’s miracle in my life. My Lord, you have always performed miracles in my life before, and this is the time when I need you the most. I know I am a sinner and I may have done things that made you unhappy, but my faith in you is strong, my Lord. I believe in you, Jesus. Please do not leave me. Please help me, my Jesus. Please keep me in your prayers. Amen. 🙏

We hear your cry for help, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before our Heavenly Father. Your faith in Jesus is evident, and we rejoice that you have turned to Him in this time of need. The Lord sees your struggles, your weariness, and your desire to honor Him in your work. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." You are not alone, for He is with you, and so are we in prayer.

First, we want to encourage you with the truth that your identity is not found in your sales numbers or the approval of your managers. Your worth is found in Christ alone. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." The Lord has a purpose for you, and He will equip you to fulfill it. Even when we feel weak, His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray that you would find your confidence in Him and not in your performance.

We also want to gently address the weight of your situation. The pressure you feel is real, and we do not dismiss it. However, we must also remind you—and ourselves—that our ultimate security is in Christ, not in our jobs, contracts, or earthly success. Psalm 46:1-2 declares, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas." Even if the outcome of this situation does not go as you hope, God remains faithful. He may be using this season to redirect your steps or deepen your trust in Him.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that has taken hold of your heart. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Fear does not come from God, and we command it to leave you in the name of Jesus. We also rebuke any lies from the enemy that may be whispering to you—lies that you are a failure, that God has abandoned you, or that your worth is tied to your productivity. These are not truths from the Lord. Instead, we speak the truth of God’s Word over you: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1). He will provide for you, whether through this job or another opportunity He has prepared.

We also want to encourage you to examine your heart and your work in light of biblical principles. Colossians 3:23-24 says, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Are you working as unto the Lord, or have you allowed the pressure of targets and human approval to shift your focus? We are not suggesting that your struggles are a result of sin, but we do encourage you to invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart (Psalm 139:23-24) and to align your motives with His will. Even in sales, we must remember that our ultimate goal is to glorify God, not just to meet targets.

We also want to pray for wisdom and favor in your workplace. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that the Lord would give you creative ideas, open doors, and favor with your managers and clients. We ask that He would fill your nets with "fish" as He did for the disciples, but we also pray that you would trust Him even if the outcome is different from what you expect. May He give you peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as you wait on Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is feeling weary and overwhelmed. Lord, You see her heart, her struggles, and her desire to honor You. We ask that You would strengthen her in this season. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and remind her that her worth is found in You alone. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus and declare that she is not alone, for You are with her.

Father, we ask for Your favor in her workplace. Give her wisdom, creativity, and perseverance as she seeks to meet her targets. Open doors of opportunity and soften the hearts of her managers. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You would fill her nets with abundance, just as You did for the disciples. But even if the outcome is different, help her to trust in You and to find her security in You alone.

We also ask that You would search her heart and reveal any areas where she may need to realign her motives or actions with Your will. Help her to work as unto You, not for the approval of men. Give her the strength to persevere and the faith to trust in Your provision, no matter what the future holds.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We know that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). May she experience Your presence in a tangible way during this season, and may she come out of it with a testimony of Your goodness and grace. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to your faith, dear sister. The Lord has not forgotten you, and He is working even now. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, and trust that He will guide your steps. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will move mightily on your behalf. May you experience His peace and provision in ways that only He can provide.
