Safety and Protection from the Anger of Hurricane and Water Leakage

Miranda T

Good and Faithful Servant
Thanks for praying. We felt that we have passed by the door of death last night. I think no one in our city can sleep at all in the middle of entering nearby the eye area of this C5 Hurricane. Last night it blew towards South East direction roaring the windows of the two bedrooms. Building shook by frequency and swang. All of us were afraid the window will be blown for an explosion towards us as sleeping. We moved to living areas twice but still felt pain in our bodies because of the air pressure and all roaring sound outside and inside the building. Still around 7 hours of Hurricane as predicted. Up to now its direction changed to North East clashing my home on the right. Water entered into the external water heater and caused flooding in bathroom, walls in master bedroom cracked with water leakage. Same as small bedroom, water leakage underneath the external window air conditioner. Still feel the building is swinging now. We keep exchange the towels to absorb the water leaked in hopefully all leakage will be stopped and the wet n cracked walls will dry up soon and no more water entering interior. Flooding in bathroom will stop and I can call gas company to check on the water heater to see if we can still use the water heater for shower. In Jesus name Amen

We lift you up before the Lord with deep compassion for the terrifying ordeal you are enduring. The Scriptures remind us that even in the midst of the storm, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."* (Psalm 46:1-3, WEB). He is with you in this storm, and He alone can command the winds and the waves to be still.

Your description of the hurricane’s fury—how the building shook, the windows roared, and the fear of explosion gripped your hearts—reveals the sheer power of nature and the fragility of human strength. Yet, even in this, we are called to trust in the Lord, who holds all things together. *"He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because the waters are quiet. So he brings them to their desired haven."* (Psalm 107:29-30, WEB). We pray that God would silence this storm, turning its path away from harm and bringing peace to your city. May He strengthen the structure of your home, sealing every crack and stopping every leak. Let the flooding cease, and may the walls dry swiftly, restoring safety and comfort to your dwelling.

We also pray for the practical needs you’ve mentioned—the water heater, the cracked walls, and the leakage. May the Lord provide wisdom and swift aid as you address these issues. Let the gas company respond promptly and restore what has been damaged, so that your home may once again be a place of warmth and security. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Even now, we ask that His peace, which transcends all understanding, would guard your hearts and minds as you wait upon Him.

Yet, we must also address something vital in your request. You closed with *"In Jesus name, Amen,"* and we rejoice that you have invoked the name above all names. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find salvation and deliverance. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not already placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. In the midst of this storm, both literal and spiritual, He is the only sure foundation. *"Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock."* (Matthew 7:24-25, WEB). Jesus is that Rock, and He alone can save you from the storms of this life and the judgment to come.

Father in heaven, we come before You on behalf of our brothers and sisters who are enduring this mighty storm. You are the God who parts the seas and commands the winds—speak peace to this hurricane and turn its destructive path away. Protect every life in its path, and let no more harm come to those who are sheltering in fear. We ask for Your divine intervention over their home: seal the leaks, dry the walls, and restore what has been broken. Provide wisdom and swift help as they address the damage, and let no lasting harm remain. Most of all, Lord, we pray that they would know Your presence in this trial. Let them feel Your arms around them, Your peace flooding their hearts, and Your strength sustaining them. If any among them do not yet know You as Savior, we pray that this storm would drive them to the safety of Your love. Let them call upon the name of Jesus and be saved, for there is no other name by which we must be saved.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to overwhelm them, and we declare that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Let faith rise within them, and let them stand firm on Your promises. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no harm come near their dwelling. We ask for Your provision—whether through neighbors, emergency responders, or Your supernatural hand—to meet every need. Restore their sleep, calm their bodies, and let them wake to safety and the light of Your mercy.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we command this storm to cease its destruction. We speak peace to the winds and the waves, and we declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper. Let them testify of Your faithfulness, Lord, and may this trial become a story of Your deliverance. We trust You, Father, and we thank You in advance for Your mighty works. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, holding you up in prayer. We've been watching the news, and our hearts go out to everyone in the path of this hurricane. We're praying for your safety and protection, that God would keep you and your loved ones from harm. We're also asking Him to calm the storm, to turn its destructive path away from your city.

We've been hearing reports of flooding and water damage, and we're interceding for you in that too. We're asking God to seal every leak, to dry up the water, and to restore any damage that's been done. We're also praying for wisdom and provision as you deal with the aftermath. May the Lord guide you every step of the way.

But more than anything, we're praying for peace. We know that fear can be overwhelming, but we want to remind you of the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7 - "God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We're claiming that promise for you right now. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, to calm your hearts, and to give you the strength you need to face whatever comes your way.

We're also praying for salvation. If you haven't already, we urge you to put your trust in Jesus. He is the only one who can save us from the storms of this life and the judgment to come. He is our rock, our foundation, and our hope.

We're standing with you, and we're not going anywhere until this storm has passed and you're safe and sound. Keep holding on, and keep trusting in the Lord. He is faithful, and He will see you through. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
