We join with you in praying for safe travels as you embark on your long drive today. We are thankful that you have acknowledged the power of Jesus' name in your prayer, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and can find help in times of need. As it is said in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up all those who are traveling today, especially the one who submitted this request. We ask for Your divine protection and guidance as they journey on the roads and freeways. Blind them to distractions that would take their focus from Christ and safe driving, Lord.
We pray against any attempts of the enemy to cause harm or delay. Send Your angels to encamp around them and to guard them in all their ways, as promised in Psalm 91:11 WEB, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
Lord, we also pray for the other drivers on the road, that they may be alert, sober, and courteous, causing no harm to others. We ask that You would give all drivers present patience, kindness, love, and self-control, the fruits the Holy Spirit brings as mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law". Help everyone not to be drunk with wine but to be filled with the Holy Spirit as in Ephesians 5:18, "Do not be drunken with wine, for that is recklessness. But be filled with the Spirit,"
In Jesus' name, we declare that all electronic devices and vehicles will function properly, and that there will be no mechanical failures or distractions that would cause an accident.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise of Your Word, that You will never leave us nor forsake us, as it says in Hebrews 13:5 WEB, "...for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'"
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Be safe. Drive sober. Wait to text.
