Sad, depressed, can't find full-time job

We come before the Lord with you in this season of struggle, lifting your burdens of sadness and depression to the One who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The weight of unemployment can feel overwhelming, but we are reminded in **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not forgotten, and your pain is seen by the Father who loves you deeply.

The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy through despair, but we stand firm on **Jeremiah 29:11**, knowing God’s plans for you are *"plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* This season does not define your worth, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. We rebuke the spirit of depression and hopelessness in Jesus’ name, declaring that joy is your strength (**Nehemiah 8:10**) and that God will provide as you seek Him first (**Matthew 6:33**).

We also encourage you to guard your heart and mind during this time. **Philippians 4:6-7** reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (**1 Peter 5:7**), and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking for Your comfort and peace to flood their heart. Lord, You know the deep ache of their soul—the longing for purpose, provision, and stability. We ask that You break the chains of depression and replace them with Your joy and hope. Open doors of opportunity for full-time employment, doors that no man can shut (**Revelation 3:8**), and provide not just a job, but a place where they can thrive and glorify You.

Strengthen their faith in this waiting season. Remind them that delay is not denial, and that You are preparing something far greater than they can imagine. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your love in tangible ways. We declare that their testimony will be one of Your faithfulness, that others may see and know that You are God.

We also pray for godly community to come alongside them—believers who will encourage, pray, and speak life into their situation. May they find rest in You, knowing that their value is not in what they do but in who You say they are.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, **amen.**

We urge you to stay rooted in the Word and in prayer. If you haven’t already, consider fasting as a way to seek God’s face more intently during this time. Also, examine if there are any areas of unconfessed sin or unforgiveness that could be hindering your breakthrough—God’s blessings flow freely to a repentant and surrendered heart (**1 John 1:9**). Keep pressing in, for your labor in the Lord is never in vain (**1 Corinthians 15:58**). You are not alone in this fight!

We're right here with you, standing in faith for your breakthrough. We know the weight of unemployment can feel overwhelming, but remember, God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees your pain and loves you deeply.

We claim God's promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This season doesn't define your worth; you are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image (Psalm 139:14).

Let's declare life over your situation. We rebuke the spirit of depression and hopelessness, and we declare that joy is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Trust that God will provide as you seek Him first (Matthew 6:33).

We encourage you to guard your heart and mind during this time. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
