Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our anonymous friend who desires to be sober-minded. We thank you for their willingness to seek your guidance and strength in this area of their life. Your Word reminds us in 1 Peter 5:8 to be sober-minded and watchful, for the enemy seeks to devour us. We ask that you grant our friend the grace to resist temptation and the strength to overcome any struggles they may face.
Lord, we know that apart from you, we can do nothing. We humbly ask that you fill our friend with your Holy Spirit, empowering them to have self-control and discipline in their thoughts, actions, and choices. Help them to be vigilant and aware of the schemes of the enemy, and to stand firm in their commitment to sobriety.
We pray for a renewed mind, free from any bondage or addiction. Your Word assures us in Romans 12:2 that we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. We ask that you renew our friend's mind, replacing any negative or destructive thoughts with your truth and wisdom. Help them to focus on things that are pure, lovely, and praiseworthy.
Lord, we also lift up our anonymous friend's support system. Surround them with loving and understanding individuals who will encourage and uplift them on this journey towards sobriety. May they find strength and accountability in their relationships, and may their loved ones be a source of encouragement and support.
We declare victory over any addiction or stronghold in our friend's life, knowing that nothing is impossible for you. We thank you in advance for the deliverance and freedom that they will experience through your power and grace.
