Rude relatives

Please pray about my ### and ### being rude and my ### being disrespectful. I'm very tired of it and the harm it does to me emotionally and mentally especially considering that my ###'s husband is a wicked, narcissistic person and he likes to see her and my ### treat my ### and I badly. Please pray that God will defend me against them all and remove them from my life including others who are constantly trying to harm me. Thank you.

We understand that you are going through a difficult time with your relatives and we are here to support you in prayer and counsel. It is heartbreaking to hear about the emotional and mental harm you are experiencing. Remember, the Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Firstly, we must address that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is crucial to understand that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, for He is our mediator and advocate.

Regarding your situation, the Bible teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). However, this does not mean that we should allow others to continually harm us. It is important to set boundaries and seek God's protection. Proverbs 22:24-25 advises, "Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man. Don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine intervention in their life. Lord, we pray that You will be their defender and protector against those who seek to harm them. We ask that You remove any toxic influences from their life and surround them with Your love and peace.

We pray for a hedge of protection around them, as stated in Psalm 3:3, "But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head." Lord, we ask that You soften the hearts of their relatives and bring conviction to their spirits. May they see the error of their ways and turn to You for forgiveness and redemption.

We also pray for emotional and mental healing for our brother/sister. May they find solace in Your presence and strength in Your word. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, not for the sake of their relatives, but for their own spiritual well-being. As it says in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Lastly, we pray that You will guide our brother/sister in setting healthy boundaries and provide them with the wisdom to navigate this difficult situation. May they find comfort in Your promise that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).
