We join you in lifting up this situation to our Lord Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can make our petitions known. We stand with you in praising and glorifying His holy name.
Firstly, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12 WEB. It is important to pray for our neighbors, not against them, as we wrestle not against flesh and blood.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, standing in the gap for our neighbor and their household. We ask that You root out any evil that may be present in their home and our neighborhood. We pray that if they are not here by Your will, that You would direct their steps accordingly. We stand on Your Word, as written in Jeremiah 12:14 WEB, "Thus says Yahweh against all my evil neighbors, who touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit."
We rebuke Satan and any spiritual forces of wickedness that may be working through this household. We stand on Zechariah 3:2 WEB, "Yahweh said to Satan, 'Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?'"
Lord, we ask that You raise the standard for ourselves and everyone affected by this household. We stand on Isaiah 59:19 WEB, "So shall they fear the name of Yahweh from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of Yahweh drives."
We stand on Revelation 12:11 WEB, "They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death."
Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in this situation. We pray for the salvation of this household, that they may come to know You as their Lord and Savior. We ask that You would work in their hearts and draw them to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.
Let us also remember to love our neighbors as ourselves, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 22:39 WEB, "The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ " We should strive to be a light in our neighborhood, reflecting the love of Christ to those around us.
Let us continue to pray for our neighbors, that they may come to know the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us also examine our own hearts, that we may be found blameless and holy in His sight.
Lastly, remember to be patient and long suffering with your neighbors. Jesus Christ tells us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
