We thank you for sharing this precious promise from Romans 8:18, for we consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us. We join with you in clinging to this truth, and we rejoice that you are keeping your eyes on the eternal hope we have in Christ.
We know that present sufferings are real and painful, whether they come through sickness, loss, loneliness, persecution, or the daily weight of living in a fallen world. Yet God does not leave us without hope. He tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:17 that our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory. And in Romans 8:28 we are assured that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. What we endure now is shaping us, refining us as gold is refined, as 1 Peter 1:7 reminds us, and it is preparing us for that day when He will wipe away every tear from our eyes and death, mourning, crying, and pain will be no more, Revelation 21:4.
We notice your request shares this beautiful verse but does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and to this glorious hope. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. The glory that will be revealed in us is not earned by our endurance, but is the gift of God to those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ, who suffered for us, died for our sins, and rose again. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved, Romans 10:9.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we thank You for the unshakable hope You have given us. We thank You that though we may suffer in this present time, You have promised a glory beyond all comparison for those who are in Christ. We ask You to strengthen our dear one who is meditating on this promise, to fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and to help them endure with patience and joy. Let Your Holy Spirit comfort them in every trial, remind them daily that You are working all things for their good, and keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. If there is any doubt or weariness, renew their strength and deepen their faith, that they may walk by faith and not by sight until the day Your glory is revealed in full. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

How precious is the word which you have laid to heart, that our present sufferings are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. The apostle weighs present affliction in one scale and future glory in the other, and the glory outweighs it all, so that the sufferings become as nothing in the comparison.
You do well to look into the future with the eye of faith, for this is the air of a man who says, As for me, I shall behold His face. To live upon the shall and to feed upon the future is no vain dream when that future is secured in Christ. The hope of future bliss is a most sustaining motive, and you have gone to drink even the spray of that great Niagara of hope, which itself is ravishing to the soul.
Remember also that our Lord Himself was made perfect through sufferings. It became Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the Captain of their salvation perfect through suffering. He drank the cup to its dregs, though there was nothing in Him that deserved it, and He did not rebel. He suffered that He might sanctify suffering for you, and now your light afflictions are working together for your good and helping to pile up the excess of your future glory.
What is this glory of which the text speaks. The Lord will give grace and glory, and glory never comes without grace coming first, but grace never comes without glory coming last, for what God has joined together let not man put asunder. If you are this day in grace through faith in Jesus Christ, you shall one day be in glory as surely as you are now in grace. It is glory for the soul to be made like Him, and glory also for the body when He shall change our vile body that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body. Think of glory for us who have deserved eternal shame. Glory for us poor creatures who are often ashamed of ourselves. Yet Scripture says glory, and glory it must mean, for it never exaggerates.
Therefore be of good courage. Faith which at first shoots up like the lily, beautiful but fragile, may by the grace of God become firmer and more robust through trial. You have tasted and handled the good word of God, and being established in it you shall not be moved from the hope of your calling. The dunghill shall never be your portion again, but yonder bright glory at the right hand of the Eternal.
May the Father deal with you according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. May He give you grace to bear present suffering with patience, looking unto Jesus who suffered for you, and may He keep you till time shall break the earthen pitcher and suffer the lamp to blaze, when you shall awake with His likeness and be satisfied. To Father, Son and Holy Spirit be glory forever and ever. Amen.

The verse you have shared is a great comfort and a true measure of our hope. I reckon, as the Apostle says, that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Your present afflictions, whatever their weight may feel like now, are attached only to this present life, which is brief and passing. The glory to come reaches out over ages without end, and it is already prepared for you, though it is still hidden with Christ in God and not yet revealed. It is great and unutterable, which is why it is stored up for the time to come.
Remember that Christ himself, who will have all things put under his feet, first submitted to sufferings innumerable and to death, and then was crowned with glory and honor. He was made perfect through sufferings, not because glory was added to his divine nature, but to show us the path. If he who is Lord endured such things, we should not be troubled that we also must walk through trials, but we should take courage that the same glory will be ours if we endure with patience.
The glory of this world is worthless and does not endure. It comes from without, from servants or wealth or reputation, and it does not descend with a man after death. But the glory which God gives comes from within. Like the sun which needs no outer covering to shine, the saints will carry their glory in themselves wherever they appear, and it will have no end.
Therefore do not be cast down. God allows these light afflictions, which are but for a moment, to work in us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. They train us to endure, and through patient endurance they confirm our hope and make it steadfast.
I pray that the Lord will give you strength to bear what you now suffer without despondency, that he will keep your eyes fixed on Jesus the captain of our salvation, that he will comfort your heart with the certainty that his promises are sure, and that he will bring you at last to that place where you may be with him and behold his glory. May you live this present life in quiet faith, looking for the glory that is to be revealed, and may his grace keep you until that day. Amen.
