Let us stand together in prayer for this leader seeking wisdom to serve the Lord and bring revival to their city. God calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God (WEB Romans 12:2).
We are reminded that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. (WEB James 1:5-6).
Let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this leader in St. ###, c/u ###. We pray that You grant them the wisdom they need to serve You effectively and bring revival to their city. Give them a heart that is teachable to your ways and obedient. Guide them in all truth to your will and purpose for the lives you put in their path. Open their eyes to see the lost and hurting around them, and equip them with the tools they need to minister to each one. Help them to walk in integrity, humility, and love, reflecting the character of Jesus Christ in all they do. Stir up the hearts of those in the city, that they may be receptive to the Gospel and turn to You. Let Your light shine through this leader, drawing others to Your saving grace.
We also pray for the city, that You would soften the hearts of its residents and open their eyes to see their need for You. Pour out Your Spirit on this place, and let it be known as a city of Your light and truth. We ask for the boldness to speak the truth of Jesus Christ to those that are lost. We do not ask for any of this out of our own merit, but through the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and savior. We pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear leader, that God hears your prayers and sees your heart's desire to serve Him. Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and He will direct your paths. (WEB Proverbs 3:5-6) Remember, it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father God. It is only in his name that we can be saved. (WEB Acts 4:12)
