We come before the throne of grace with hearts open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, seeking divine revelation and guidance for you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Word of God assures us that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5 WEB). We stand on this promise as we lift you up in prayer.
Father God, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who leads us into all truth (John 16:13 WEB). We ask that You would remove any scales from our brother’s or sister’s eyes, that they may see clearly the path You have set before them. Grant them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, that the eyes of their understanding may be enlightened, so they may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:17-18 WEB).
Lord, we pray that You would speak clearly through Your Word, through the still small voice of the Holy Spirit, and through the godly counsel of fellow believers. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Help them to discern Your voice above all others, for Your sheep hear Your voice, and You know them, and they follow You (John 10:27 WEB).
We rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or fear that may be attempting to cloud their judgment. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
Father, we also pray for a heart of obedience. Revelation without obedience is futile. May they not only hear Your voice but also follow through with what You are calling them to do. Teach them to number their days, that they may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12 WEB). Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105 WEB).
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12 WEB). Meditate on it day and night, so that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success (Joshua 1:8 WEB). Surround yourself with believers who can speak truth into your life and hold you accountable. Iron sharpens iron, and so one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17 WEB).
Above all, remember that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6 WEB). There is no guidance or revelation outside of Him. If you have not already, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB). For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the assurance that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). We trust that as our brother or sister seeks Your face, You will direct their steps and make their paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). May they walk in the fullness of Your revelation and guidance, bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
