We join with you now in Jesus' name asking our Father for revelation and clear guidance and deeper understanding, for we know He delights to give wisdom to His children who seek Him.

We are encouraged by His promise in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. And in Jeremiah 33:3, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know. Our God is not silent, He instructs and counsels us as He says in Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. We also cling to Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before Your throne of grace and lift up this dear one who is hungering for revelation and understanding. We ask that You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, having the eyes of their heart enlightened according to Ephesians 1:17-18. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them, for Jesus promised in John 16:13, However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth. Guide them into all truth concerning this specific matter on their heart. Remove any confusion, fear, or distraction, and make Your will unmistakably clear. Give them ears to hear Your voice, eyes to see Your leading, and a heart to obey. Grant them peace as they wait on You and confidence that You will answer in Your perfect timing and way. We ask this in the mighty and only name by which we are saved and have access to You, Jesus Christ, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him diligently in prayer and in His Word, for His Word is a lamp to our feet. Be still before Him, listen, and trust that as you acknowledge Him, He will direct your paths and grant the understanding you need.

We hear how much you want clear direction right now, and we are bringing your request before the Lord with you.

Wanting revelation and more understanding is a good desire. In our experience God often guides not all at once, but step by step as we stay close to Him and keep asking. He knows the specific thing on your heart even when it feels hard to put into words, and He is not distant from that question.

One simple way that helps many people when they are seeking guidance is to get very clear on the question itself. You might set aside a quiet few minutes, write down in one sentence the specific decision or understanding you are asking for, and bring that one sentence to God in prayer. Then let a trusted, mature believer who knows you hear that same sentence and pray through it with you. Having another faithful person alongside you can help you weigh what you are sensing and notice where God is giving peace and an open next step.

Father, we lift this dear one to You right now. You see the specific need for revelation and understanding. Please draw near, quiet any confusion, and show the next step You want taken. Give wisdom, clarity, and trust in Your timing and Your care. Lead in a way that can be clearly recognized and followed. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing for revelation and for more understanding is itself a token for good, for wisdom is man's true path, the compass by which he must steer across the trackless waste of life, and without it he is as the wild ass's colt running here and there and wasting strength which might be profitably employed. No mention shall be made of coral or of pearls, for the price of wisdom is above rubies, and it must come to us by revelation from God, for we cannot find it by our own efforts.

Remember what is written, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. Holiness is as near akin to perfect wisdom as sin is to insanity, and among the great principles infused in every man who takes God for his Guide is this, avoid everything that is evil. Divine Wisdom, dressed in robes of love and tenderness, invites us to run into her arms, and bowing with submission to the will of God, by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance. Haste too is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life, so wait upon the Lord and be not hurried, for He will guide you with His counsel and afterward receive you to glory.

Take heed what you hear and how you hear, for there must be an attentive ear and an understanding heart if the word is to become a sanctifying word to you. It is delightful to go from strength to strength until you come to full assurance of understanding, but if you have but a mustard seed of faith, come limping to Jesus as you are. He desires truth in the inward parts and in the hidden part He shall make you to know wisdom, and if we have received an understanding to know Him it is a free grace gift from His hand.

Let us pray for you now in the name of Jesus our Lord.

O Lord our God, who hast promised to give wisdom liberally to them that ask Thee, look upon this seeking soul who asks for revelation and guidance even now. Give an understanding heart to know Thy way, enlighten the understanding, influence the will and change the affections by Thy grace. Make truth to dwell in the inward parts and cause Thy child to know wisdom in the hidden part. Grant clear guidance, keep from haste and from every evil way, and teach submission to Thy perfect will that there may be unerring direction. Let Thy right hand be laid upon this trembling one with that dear word, Fear not, I am the First and the Last, and lead by Thy counsel until the path of wisdom shall be made plain. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
