O ye stubborn-hearted who openly disregard and refuse to acknowledge God's presence. He said "If only you had paid attention to my commands . . ." Instead of obedience, you seek to place blame on me as an excuse for withholding my blessing. I do not speak "negativity." I speak the TRUTH. If your willfulness, however, is diametrically opposed to the will of God, then for certain, that's negativity. But not on my part.
You assumed that this assignment was about what you could give to me, when in actuality, it was about what God was trying to give to you, through me. The opportunity to serve as shepherd over the church that He showed to me in vision. The church that was promised to my father (a Jacob, like yourself) whose name coincidentally was Matthan. But there again, with God, there are no coincidences. I'm a direct descendant and these things were foretold generations before either us came into existence.
God has an awesome sense of humor. I have not been tricked. The joke is on the "would be" trickster(s). God did not say "HE" would gather them; He said "THEY gather THEMSELVES unto you . . ." Whatever the reason, His word came to pass and so will His recompense. Even in the midst of that which was meant for folly and evil towards me, God still gets the glory! For God will not be mocked nor manipulated by anyone. It's about more than the symbolism of colors, a football game, or blessings being doled out. It's all about God's kingdom being built. Where is the church you build unto Him? The one planned will not be big enough to hold those who will gather.

God gave Egypt what they have and He can take it away. Your counsel misguided you, so their approval is no longer your concern. God said "I will enter into judgement with the elders."
