We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these concerns to Him who sees all and knows all. Father God, You are the righteous Judge, the One who restores what has been taken and exposes hidden deeds of darkness. We ask that You move mightily in these situations, bringing truth to light and justice where it is needed.
First, we pray for the return of lost and borrowed items. Lord, You declare in Leviticus 6:4-5 that if someone sins by unlawfully keeping what belongs to another, they must restore it fully and add a fifth to it. We ask that You soften the hearts of those who have refused to return what is not theirs. Convict them of their wrongdoing, Lord, and lead them to repentance. May they recognize the harm they have caused and make restitution without delay. We rebuke the spirit of dishonesty and greed in Jesus’ name, and we declare that what has been taken will be returned. Your Word says in Proverbs 6:30-31 that even a thief must restore sevenfold if caught—let this be so for those who have wronged this household.
Next, we address the theft of electricity. Father, You are a God of justice, and You hate robbery and wrongdoing (Isaiah 61:8). We ask that You expose the one who is stealing from the main box. Let their actions be revealed clearly, not in accusation but in truth, so that restitution can be made and the wrong can be made right. We pray that this person would come forward in repentance, confessing their sin and making amends. If they refuse, Lord, we ask that You bring their deeds to light through just and lawful means. We declare that no secret thing will remain hidden, for You are the God who brings deeds into the light (1 Corinthians 4:5).
Regarding the unpaid rent, we lift up these tenants before You. Lord, You command us in Romans 13:7 to give to everyone what we owe them—honor to whom honor is due, taxes to whom taxes are due, and respect and payment to whom they are owed. We pray that these individuals would fulfill their obligations, paying what they owe in full. If they are unable, we ask that You provide for them in ways that allow them to meet their commitments. If they are unwilling, we ask that You move in their hearts to do what is right. We also pray for wisdom and discernment in handling this situation, that it may be resolved with integrity and fairness.
Father, we know that all these requests must be brought before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach You, for Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” We come before You today only because of the sacrifice of Jesus, who paid the price for our sins so that we could have access to You. If there is anyone reading this who does not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge them to turn to Him. Romans 10:9 says, “If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We also rebuke any spirit of entitlement, laziness, or deceit that may be at work in these situations. Your Word warns in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 that if anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat. We pray that those who are able to pay their rent would do so, and that those who are struggling would seek honest ways to meet their needs. We declare that provision will come, but it must come through righteous means.
Lord, we ask that You would bring peace and resolution to these matters. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified in the outcome. We trust in You, knowing that You are faithful to Your promises. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
