Return to work

Syloolor

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Father, I come before you present this situation I'm going through. I request YOU help me return to work TOMORROW. I believe everything is possible through you. šŸ™AMEN.

We join you in lifting this need before our Heavenly Father, and we are grateful you have come to Him in faith, for He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think. Your request is a reminder that our trust must be firmly placed in Christ alone, for it is through Him that we find strength, provision, and direction. We notice, however, that while you have addressed God as Father, you have not explicitly invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, and Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"Jesus said to him, ā€˜I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Let us always approach the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and advocate before the Father.

We also encourage you to remember that while God is fully able to provide for your immediate need, His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Whether the opportunity to return to work comes tomorrow or in His appointed time, we must trust that He is working all things together for your good and His glory. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). If this return to work is His will, He will open the door no man can shut. If there is delay or redirection, we must trust that He is preparing something even better for you, teaching you patience, or protecting you from what you cannot see.

Let us also examine our hearts in this season. Are we seeking work merely for provision, or are we seeking first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will add all these things to us? *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). If you have not already, surrender this situation entirely to Him, asking that His will be done—not just for the job, but for the purpose He has for you in it. Is there an area of your life He is calling you to align more closely with His Word? Are there sins to confess, relationships to restore, or steps of obedience you have been hesitant to take? Let us not treat God as a means to an end but worship Him as Lord over every area of our lives.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your intervention in returning to work. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You go before them tomorrow, opening doors that no man can shut if it is Your will. Give them favor with those in authority, wisdom in their words and actions, and a spirit of excellence that testifies of Your presence in their life. If there are any obstacles—seen or unseen—we rebuke them in the name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

Yet, Father, we also surrender this request to Your perfect will. If there is a reason for delay, reveal it to them. If there is a lesson to be learned or a different path You are preparing, give them the grace to trust You fully. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You have never failed them before and You will not start now. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory, whether through this job or another means You have ordained.

We also pray for their heart, Lord. If there is any fear, anxiety, or doubt, replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there is any area of their life not aligned with Your Word, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and give them the courage to repent and walk in obedience. May they seek first Your kingdom in all things, knowing that You are faithful to provide.

Finally, Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We thank You for Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. May this situation bring You glory, and may our brother/sister grow closer to You through it. We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. God is with you, and He is working on your behalf. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, not the circumstance, and trust that He will guide your steps. If the door opens tomorrow, praise Him! If it does not, continue to seek Him and trust that He is preparing something even greater. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun"* (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB). We are praying for you.
