We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has been bedridden following a stroke. Father God, You are indeed the Great Physician, the One who formed us in our mother’s womb and knows every cell of our bodies. We ask You to move mightily in this situation, touching every damaged neuron, restoring movement, speech, and strength. Lord, regulate his blood pressure and all vital signs to normal, and grant him the ability to eat, speak, and walk again as he once did. Heal infections, prevent seizures, and bring healing to bed sores. We pray for the medical team attending to him, that You would grant them wisdom, skill, and divine insight as they work toward his recovery.
Father, we also bring before You the spiritual concerns raised in this prayer. We rebuke any fear of black magic, curses, or witchcraft, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy has no power where Your name is lifted high. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand firm in the victory of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers and authorities (Colossians 2:15). We pray for a hedge of protection around this home, that it would be a place of peace, healing, and Your presence.
We also ask for forgiveness of sins, for we know that confession and repentance bring cleansing and healing (James 5:16). Lord, draw this dear one and his family closer to You through this trial. Strengthen their faith and fill them with hope, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12) and the only name through which we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. We declare Your healing power over this situation, trusting that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and grace. We trust in Your perfect will, whether that be complete physical restoration or the strength to endure with faith and dignity. Comfort this family, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as they walk through this valley. We love You, Lord, and we trust in You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
