We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your father’s need for healing and restoration. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We stand in faith, believing that the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Father God, we ask for Your divine touch upon this dear man. You formed his inmost being (Psalm 139:13), and You know every cell, every synapse, every beat of his heart. We pray for complete restoration—strengthen his body, regulate his blood pressure, and mend the pathways in his brain that have been affected by the stroke. Lord, we ask that You would grant him the ability to eat, speak, and walk again, just as he once did. Let his senses and reflexes return smoothly, and may his recovery be a testimony to Your power and mercy.
We also lift up the medical team caring for him. Grant them wisdom, skill, and compassion as they work toward his healing. Protect him from infections, bed sores, and any complications that may arise. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke any spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name.
We acknowledge that forgiveness and repentance are vital. If there are sins that need confessing, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would bring conviction and lead him to repentance. *"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). We also ask for Your protection over his family—guard their hearts, minds, and home from any form of spiritual attack, including black magic, curses, or witchcraft. The blood of Jesus is our defense, and no evil can stand against it (Revelation 12:11).
Lord, we declare that Your will be done in this situation. Whether You choose to heal him completely in this life or call him home to glory, we trust You. But we ask, in faith, for a miracle—for Your name to be glorified through his restoration. Strengthen his family as they care for him, and fill their home with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom all healing flows. Amen.
