We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is bedridden after a stroke, along with their family who is walking through this valley of shadow. Father, You are indeed the Great Physician, the One who formed this beloved body in the secret place and knows every cell, every synapse, every beat of their heart. We stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We declare healing over their brain, believing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead can restore neural pathways and bring complete restoration.
Lord, we pray for movement to return to their limbs, for speech to flow freely once more, and for strength to rise up in their body. Regulate their blood pressure, steady their vitals, and heal any infections or bed sores that have developed. Grant wisdom and skill to every doctor, therapist, and nurse caring for them, that they would be Your hands and feet in this season. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity that would seek to linger, and we command every cell in their body to align with Your perfect design.
Father, we also bring their soul before You. We ask for Your forgiveness to wash over them, for any sins to be covered by the blood of Jesus. Comfort their heart and mind, reminding them of Your nearness in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Strengthen their family as they care for their loved one, providing them with endurance, peace, and unity.
We take authority over any dark spiritual forces that may be at work. The Bible is clear in Ephesians 6:12 that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We bind any curses, witchcraft, or black magic in Jesus' name and command them to be broken and rendered powerless. Your Word says in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand firm in that promise.
We also want to gently remind this family of the power in the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If this dear one has not placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would draw them to the foot of the cross. For it is by grace we are saved through faith, not of works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). We pray for a revelation of Your love and salvation to flood their heart.
Heavenly Father, we trust You with this situation. We know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask for a miracle, believing that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). May this family experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for complete healing and restoration, not just for their body, but for their spirit and soul as well. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
