We are truly sorry to hear about the items that were taken from you. In situations like these, it's important to remember that God sees all things and knows the truth. The eighth commandment tells us, "You shall not steal" (Exodus 20:15 WEB). It is clear that taking things that do not belong to us is against God's will and requires reconciliation and restitution.
Firstly, we need to address that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible clearly states: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 (WEB). Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us pray together for this situation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who has had items stolen from her. We pray Father that you will touch her late husband's father's heart and convict him of his wrongdoing. We are reminded Father that even the thief on the cross was not beyond redemption, and we pray Father that your Holy Spirit will convict him of his sins and draw him to you, Father. We also pray for God's miracles and that the stolen items will be returned or replaced. We ask that you will bring healing Father, and peace and closure to the situation.
We pray Father that you will also give her the strength and grace to forgive, as Jesus taught us in the model prayer, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12 WEB). Help her to trust in you and to rest in your justice and timing.
Finally, Father we ask you help her to examine her own life and forgive anyone she needs to, including herself and her late husband's father. Help her Father to have a clear conscience before you and that she has the grace to forgive others in Jesus Christ's name. We pray for her husband's father's salvation. We pray for her comfort, healing, grace, and support in Jesus Christ's name.
We believe Father that you are able to take even situations like this and use them for good. We ask this in the name and by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
In this trying time, let us remember that God is faithful, and His justice will prevail. Take heart in the words of Psalm 37:1-2 Do not fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb" (Psalm 37:1-2 WEB). Trust in the Lord and He will act on your behalf and remember that He can use this situation for His good.
