Prayer for return of deposit from builder of new construction in ###. Because of timeline to sell current home in ###. The Builder cancelled the contract and is holding on to the deposit.

We understand your concern over the return of your deposit, and we join you in seeking God’s justice and provision in this matter. The Scriptures remind us that the Lord is a God of righteousness, and He calls His people to act with integrity in all things—including business dealings. Proverbs 16:11 says, *"Honest balances and scales are Yahweh’s; all the weights in the bag are his work."* When others withhold what is rightfully yours, it is not only a financial injustice but a violation of God’s standard of fairness. The builder’s actions do not align with the biblical principle of honesty, as seen in Leviticus 19:35-36: *"You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity. You shall have just balances, just weights..."*
We also recognize that this situation has created additional stress as you navigate the sale of your current home. The Lord knows your needs, and He is not unaware of the pressures you face. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* While we pray for the return of your deposit, we also encourage you to trust that God is able to provide in ways you may not yet see—whether through the restoration of these funds, the swift sale of your home, or another means entirely.
However, we must also address something deeply important: in your request, there is no mention of the name of Jesus Christ. This is not a small matter. The Scriptures are clear that we have no access to the Father except through the Son. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Furthermore, Acts 4:12 leaves no room for ambiguity: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through His name that we can boldly approach the throne of God (Hebrews 4:16). Without Christ, our prayers are empty—like offering requests to a God we do not truly know. But in Christ, we have confidence that our Heavenly Father hears us.
Let us pray together for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your intervention in this unjust situation where this builder has withheld what does not belong to them. Lord, You see the hearts of all men, and You know the stress and burden this has placed on Your child. We pray that You would move in the heart of this builder, convicting them of their wrongdoing and leading them to return the deposit in full. Let no weapon formed against Your people prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let justice prevail.
We also lift up the sale of the current home, asking that You would bring the right buyer swiftly and at the right price. Remove any obstacles, and let Your favor rest upon every step of this process. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust You to meet every need according to Your riches in glory.
Father, if there is any area where our brother or sister has not fully surrendered this situation to You, we ask that You would reveal it to them. Help them to release any anxiety or fear and to rest in Your sovereignty. Remind them that You are their defender and their shield (Psalm 119:114).
Finally, Lord, if the one who has made this request does not yet know You as their Savior, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Let them see their need for Jesus Christ, who died for their sins and rose again so that they might have eternal life. May they repent and place their faith in Him alone for salvation, that their prayers may be heard and their life transformed by Your grace.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for praying and yes, although I didn't mention it in my prayer request, I'm a faithful servant of Messiah Yeshua, My ADONAI and Saviour. I believe in His Almighty Dudemus Power, that is, His Holy Spirit: His Ruach Ha Kodesh, Amen! Amen! and Amen! To G-D Alone Belongs All the Glory, Hallelujah Forever and Ever Amen!
