The holidays can be a tender time, stirring up memories and emotions, and we ask the Lord to move mightily in your wife’s heart during this season. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness, and we pray for healing and reconciliation in yours.
First, we must examine our own hearts, as Scripture tells us in **Lamentations 3:40**, *"Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh."* Have there been areas where you may have fallen short in loving your wife as Christ loves the church? The Bible calls husbands to love their wives sacrificially (**Ephesians 5:25**), to be patient, kind, and slow to anger (**1 Corinthians 13:4-5**). We encourage you to humble yourself before the Lord, seeking His wisdom and strength to be the godly husband your wife needs.
We also lift up your wife in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to soften her heart and bring conviction where needed. **Proverbs 15:1** reminds us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* If there have been words or actions that wounded her, we pray for repentance and forgiveness to flow between you both.
