Restore my hedge

We hear your cry for the restoration of God’s protective hedge around your life, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting this need before the throne of grace. The Bible speaks clearly of God’s desire to be our refuge and fortress, a shield and stronghold in times of trouble. In Job 1:10, we see that it was the Lord Himself who placed a hedge of protection around Job, his household, and all that he had. When that hedge was temporarily allowed to be tested, Job remained steadfast in faith, and in the end, the Lord restored to him double what had been taken. This reminds us that even when we face trials, God’s ultimate purpose is restoration and blessing for those who trust in Him.

However, we must also examine our hearts and lives to ensure there is no unrepentant sin or disobedience that may have created a breach in that hedge. In Hosea 2:6, the Lord says, *"Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, that she can’t find her paths."* This is not to condemn, but to call us to holy reflection. Have we wandered from God’s commands? Have we allowed bitterness, unforgiveness, or compromise to take root? If so, we must repent and turn back to Him, for He is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9).

We also recognize that spiritual warfare is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we do not fight alone. The name of Jesus is our victory, and through His blood, we have authority to resist the devil and watch him flee (James 4:7). We must stand firm in the armor of God, as Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs, putting on truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up this dear one who cries out for the restoration of Your protective hedge. We declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We ask You to rebuild the walls of protection around their life, their family, their health, their mind, and their spirit. Lord, we repent on behalf of any area where sin or disobedience has created a breach, and we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Restore what the enemy has stolen, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against them in Jesus’ name. We break every curse, every spirit of fear, and every plan of destruction sent their way. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, surround them with Your angels, as You did for Elisha in 2 Kings 6:17, so they may see Your heavenly host encamped around them.

Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and leading them in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they find their rest in You alone, knowing that You are their shepherd and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1).

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We declare that the hedge of protection is being restored even now, in Jesus’ name. May this one walk in the fullness of Your blessing, covered by the blood of Jesus, and may they experience Your goodness and mercy all the days of their life. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for the restoration of God's protective hedge around your life. We believe that God is a shield and a very present help in times of trouble, and He desires to protect and bless you. Let's claim Psalm 91 together: "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" Let's trust in Him, knowing that He's got you covered.
