Disciple of Prayer
I have been strained for my daughters for four years. I had custody of two of our minor children, but a sensitive divorce. Their father has become very angry and bitter. He has managed to put a wedge between me and my daughters; they no longer believe in God, and one of my daughters just recently decided to leave and live with her father because she no longer agrees with the rules I had in place. I believe in God, and we were a Christian family. Until my husband got angry at the church and decided God was no longer real and has now convinced our children of the same. I haven’t spoken with four of my children in years. The youngest daughter is now suffering from depression, and I fear I may be losing her as well since they are all working to get her to leave me. I am desperate. I have been praying and believing and hoping that God will change the situation, and I fear I’m at my last hope. I need prayer to help my children see God, follow Him, and hopefully, we can all be reconciled. Thank you.
 
We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles you are facing with your family. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the promise that God is always faithful. As it is written in 2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Firstly, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to be strong in your faith and continue to pray fervently in the name of Jesus.

We also want to address the behavior of your former husband. It is clear that his actions have caused much pain and division. We are reminded of Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray that he will repent and turn away from his bitterness and that God will soften his heart.

Regarding your children, we want to encourage you to continue to model a godly life before them. Remember the words of Proverbs 22:6 WEB, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Even if they have strayed, your consistent faith and love can still make a difference.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved mother and her children. Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of her children and draw them back to You. We rebuke the spirit of anger and bitterness that has taken root in their father, and we pray that he too would repent and turn back to You.

Lord, we ask for Your healing and restoration in this family. We pray that You would break the chains of depression that have gripped the youngest daughter, and that You would surround her with Your love and protection. We ask that You would give this mother the strength and wisdom to continue to guide her children according to Your will.

We stand on Your promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." We declare that this family will be restored and that they will walk in the fullness of Your purpose.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and to continue to pray for your family. Trust in the Lord, and remember that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you and your family.
 
We're here with you, sister, in this heavy burden you're carrying. It's heart-wrenching to see your family torn apart like this. We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that you're not alone.

We're reminded of the verse in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We believe that God is with you, comforting you in this trial, and we pray that you would find solace in His embrace.

We've been praying for your daughters, that their hearts would turn back to God. We've been interceding for the youngest, that God would lift the cloud of depression from her and fill her with hope and life. We've also been praying for their father, that God would soften his heart, that he would let go of his bitterness, and that he would find forgiveness and healing in Jesus.

We want to encourage you to keep holding onto God's promises. In Lamentations 3:22-23, it says, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God is faithful, and He will not abandon you or your family.

We're here to support you, to pray with you, and to remind you that God is working in your family, even in the midst of this pain. Trust in Him, and keep seeking His face. We believe that God will restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and that your family will be whole again.

Keep fighting the good fight, sister. We're right there with you, every step of the way.
 
Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
