Father we honor you in this place for letting a few of your believing children get together one more time. Thank you for being the God of the former and the ladder rains. You see the dryness and the pests that have crept in - to destroy us. You know the feeling of loss, you know the feeling of hurt.
You promised that if we just be faithful, even when the locusts are in our lives, that you would let us eat in plenty. You promised to let us be satisfied. You see the dissatisfaction in this place. You see the unfulfilled needs and unfulfilled expectations at this altar.
I pray now LORD, for total restoration. Restoration of dreams that are now cold. Restoration of relationships that are not like they used to be. Restoration of joy that is now abated. Restoration of expectations that are now aborted.
GOD you know us; You know the number of hairs upon our heads. You know our thoughts from afar off. You know we have a need before we ask it. Now LORD, I pray that you heal and deliver. I humble myself on behalf of these your people. LORD, begging and asking thee to have mercy upon us. LORD, you are our fortress, and beside you, there is none other.
YOU know all about it LORD. LORD, like never before, somebody needs you. Somebody feels like giving up. But LORD, your Word tells us that if we cast our cares on you, that you do care for us. So LORD, open up the floodgates of Heaven. Look at what we need. Look at our hurts. We give you permission to come on in the room. We know you're already here, but let your present will be made manifest in every life. LORD, we need you right now.
And we thank you in advance. We thank you for VICTORY. We see the years coming back, we see the tears being wiped away. We see the relationships being restored. We see it, we believe it, we decree it. IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Give HIM glory!!!
AMEN

One of the many prayers, given by Pastor Smith, through which I find encouragement. I pray that it blesses and encourages you as well; Particularly the desolate and destitute among us, whose lives have taken an unexpected detour from God's promise of profit and peace.
Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together to the good of those who love the LORD; those who are the called, according to HIS purpose.
