Restoration of marriage

We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this plea for the restoration of this marriage, knowing that what God has joined together, no man should separate. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but our Lord Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His Church, and we stand firmly on the truth that God desires reconciliation, redemption, and healing in every broken place.

First, we must address the foundation upon which this prayer stands. If either spouse in this marriage has not fully surrendered their life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, true restoration cannot take hold. It is only through Christ that we are made new, that hearts are softened, and that forgiveness and love can flow. As Scripture declares, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Without Christ at the center, any effort to restore this marriage will be built on shifting sand. We urge both individuals to examine their hearts: Have you repented of your sins? Have you placed your faith in Jesus alone for salvation? If not, we implore you to do so today, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only in His name that we can approach the throne of God with confidence, and it is only through His power that true restoration can occur.

We also must speak truth in love: if there has been unfaithfulness, whether through adultery, emotional affairs, or the sin of pornography, it must be confessed, repented of, and turned away from completely. *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). Forgiveness is possible through Christ, but it requires genuine repentance—a turning away from sin and a turning toward God. If this sin is present, it must be addressed with urgency, for it is a direct attack on the covenant of marriage.

Likewise, if there has been bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness, it must be released. *"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:32, WEB). Unforgiveness is a poison that destroys not only the one who holds it but also the possibility of reconciliation. We urge both spouses to seek the Lord’s strength to forgive as He has forgiven us.

Now, let us pray with faith, knowing that our God is a God of miracles, a God who restores what the locusts have eaten. *"The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing"* (Zephaniah 3:17, WEB). Let this truth anchor your hearts as we lift this marriage before Him.

---
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. Lord, You are the God who heals, restores, and redeems. We ask that You would move powerfully in the hearts of both spouses, drawing them to Yourself first and foremost. If there is any unbelief, hardness of heart, or rebellion, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict and soften them. Lord, reveal to them any sin that needs to be confessed and repented of, and grant them the courage to turn away from it completely.

Father, we ask for a spirit of repentance to sweep through this marriage. If there has been infidelity, emotional distance, or any form of betrayal, we pray for godly sorrow that leads to true repentance. Break the chains of sin that have ensnared either spouse, and set them free by the power of Your Son’s blood. *"Create in them a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within them"* (Psalm 51:10, WEB).

Lord, we bind the spirit of division that seeks to tear this marriage apart. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that say this marriage is beyond repair. Your Word declares that *"with God, all things are possible"* (Matthew 19:26, WEB), and we stand on that promise today. Restore the love that has grown cold. Rekindle the commitment that has waned. Bring healing to the wounds that have festered. Let forgiveness flow like a river, washing away the pain and bitterness.

We pray for supernatural breakthroughs in every area where the enemy has gained a foothold. If there are financial struggles, bring provision. If there is emotional exhaustion, bring renewal. If there is spiritual apathy, bring revival. *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10, WEB). Lord, we claim that abundant life over this marriage today.

Father, we ask that You would give both spouses a vision for the marriage You intended—one that reflects Your love for the Church, one that is marked by selflessness, patience, and unwavering commitment. Help them to see each other through Your eyes, to love as You love, and to serve one another in humility. *"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. ... Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her"* (Ephesians 5:22, 25, WEB). May they embrace their roles with joy and surrender to Your design.

Lord, we pray for divine appointments—godly counselors, mentors, or pastors who can speak truth and wisdom into their lives. Surround them with a community of believers who will uphold them in prayer and hold them accountable. Let them not walk this path alone, but with the support and encouragement of Your body.

Finally, Father, we ask for a miracle. Just as You turned water into wine, just as You raised Lazarus from the dead, just as You restored Peter after his denial, we ask that You would restore this marriage in a way that brings You glory. Let this testimony be a beacon of hope to others who are struggling. *"Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen"* (Ephesians 3:20-21, WEB).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

To the one praying for this restoration: Do not lose heart. Keep seeking the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind. Fast and pray, immersing yourself in His Word. *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB). Stand firm in faith, even when you don’t see immediate change. Remember that God’s timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours.

If you are the one who has strayed, return to the Lord and to your spouse with a broken and contrite heart. If you are the one who has been hurt, guard your heart against bitterness and trust the Lord to be your vindicator. *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for the Lord, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB).

Lastly, we encourage you to seek biblical counseling if you haven’t already. There is wisdom in the multitude of counselors (Proverbs 15:22), and godly guidance can provide the tools needed to rebuild what has been broken. Stay rooted in a community of believers who will walk with you through this season.

We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God is at work even now. *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6, WEB). Hold fast to hope, for our God is faithful.

We're right there with you, lifting this marriage up to the Lord. We've been praying for breakthrough and restoration, and we want you to know that we're not giving up. We're claiming God's promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, that He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

We're asking the Lord to heal and restore this marriage, to fill both of your hearts with His love and forgiveness. We're praying for a spirit of repentance to sweep through, for any sin to be confessed and turned away from completely. We're believing for a miracle, just like He did with Peter, that this marriage can be restored and become a testimony of God's grace and power.

We're also praying for wisdom and guidance, that God would lead you both to the right counselors and mentors who can speak truth and wisdom into your lives. We're asking for a community of believers to surround you both, to uphold you in prayer and hold you accountable.

We're not losing heart, and we encourage you not to either. Keep seeking the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind. Fast and pray, immersing yourself in His Word. Remember, God's timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours.

We're believing for a miracle, and we're standing with you in prayer, confident that God is at work even now. Hold fast to hope, for our God is faithful.

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!
