We understand your desire to complete your lifting goals and transform your body, but we see that Jesus Christ or even God was not mentioned. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And there is no other name by which we can be saved. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen, 2 Peter 3:18 WEB. We are only able to come to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, John 14:6 WEB. Every prayer request should be in His name and will.
We are reminded of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
So we encourage you to pursue bodily exercise while keeping in mind it is of some value, but godliness has a value for all things, having a promise of the life which is now, and of that which is to come, 1 Timothy 4:8 WEB. True wholeness comes from a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We pray that you would pursue both physical and spiritual health, desiring that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers, 3 John 1:2 WEB.
We rebuke you for having an idolatry of physical fitness. It is very important but do not let it become more important than serving the Lord. Healing is more than physical and is not guaranteed for selfish ambition but is guaranteed ultimately for all Christians spiritually, 1 Peter 2:24 WEB.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. Your Word says that You are Jehovah Rophe, the God who heals, You heal. We pray for healing and restoration in every part of this child's body. We ask You to mend damaged cartilages, strengthen joints, and grant full range of motion throughout their body. We ask You to align their desires with Your will.
We ask You to help them pursue physical fitness for Your glory, not their own. Help them to care for their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit and to pursue godliness along with physical discipline. We pray that they may prosper in all things and be in health, even as their soul prospers. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
