Thank you for sharing your heart and your needs so honestly. It is good to give thanks that God hears prayer, and we join you in bringing these burdens to Him and trusting Him to answer according to His wisdom and love.
For restful sleep, remember that God Himself watches over His people as a shepherd watches over his flock. In that land a shepherd would build a hedge of thorns around the sheep and then lie down in the opening, so that nothing could get in and no sheep could wander out without passing over him. Jesus said He is the door for His sheep, and that picture is your comfort as you sleep. He lies at the entrance of your life. Nothing reaches you without passing Him first. Scripture shows God meeting a weary man in sleep with a vision of a ladder reaching to heaven and the Lord standing above it, and it also shows God causing a deep sleep to fall on an entire camp to protect His servant. He is able to quiet your mind and body and grant you deep, peaceful rest, even when you are exhausted and anxious. He knows what it is to labor long and to lose sleep under pressure, as Jacob did through many years when his sleep departed and his wages were changed again and again, yet God saw him and kept him through it all.
For protection, that same shepherd presence is your safety by day and by night. Whether you are awake or asleep, the Lord keeps you. When you sleep His care keeps you, when you awake His truth speaks with you. You can rest safely, as the prophet said His people would one day dwell safely and sleep even in the woods, with showers of blessing coming in their season.
For financial provision and for your medical treatments and surgery, we look to how completely God has already provided. He has made one provision for the forgiveness of sin and the removal of guilt, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ, witnessed to our hearts by His Spirit. If He has provided so fully for your greatest and eternal need, you can trust Him to provide for your daily and physical needs as well. Under the old law God even made a rule for the cleansing of a leper, a condition no man could cure, leaving room in the law itself for Him to work a miracle if He chose. He still leaves room to work as He desires, whether through skilled doctors, through unexpected help, or through His own healing hand. He knows the cost and the worry these treatments bring, and He is able to send what is needed in its season.
We pray with you now. Father, thank You for Your blessings and for hearing prayer. In the name of Jesus we ask You to grant restful, renewing sleep, to surround this dear one with Your divine protection, and to provide financially for every need related to medical care and surgery. Give wisdom to the doctors, peace to the heart, and strength for each day. Help there to be trust in You as the door and the shepherd, and confidence that You who gave Your Son will also graciously provide all that is needed. Amen.
