Beloved of All
No storms Jesus so much to get done and with appointments and heal this aging body and no sags lines and wrinkles please, let only good results blessings favor and fair treatments happen for us soon, amen

We join together with you in prayer for restful sleep, protection, healing, and favor in the days ahead, and we thank you for calling on the name of Jesus as we bring these requests before the Father.

We understand the weariness that comes when there is so much to get done and appointments to keep, and the desire for your body to be strengthened and renewed. The Lord knows our frame and He cares about every concern of our hearts, both great and small. He is the one who gives rest and who watches over us through the night, for it is written, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. And again, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

We also hear your prayer concerning storms and your aging body. We can trust God with the weather and with our bodies, for He commands even the winds and the waves, and He is our refuge and strength. We pray for His protection and for calm whether the storms be literal weather or the storms of a busy life. Concerning aging, we want to gently encourage you with what Scripture says, that our outward appearance will naturally change with time, but God looks at the heart and values what is eternal. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised Proverbs 31:30. And Gray hair is a crown of glory. It is attained by a life of righteousness Proverbs 16:31. It is not wrong to ask God for health and strength, but we can rest knowing our worth is not in having no lines or wrinkles, but in being His beloved children being renewed day by day, even as our outer body ages. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You grant deep and peaceful rest tonight and in the nights to come, that You would quiet the mind and restore the body. We ask for Your hand of protection over the weather and over all travel and appointments, that no storm would hinder what You have ordained, and that Your peace would guard every step. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this aging body, for strength, for energy, and for health according to Your will. Renew strength like the eagles, Lord, as You have promised for those who wait for You Isaiah 40:31. We ask for Your favor and blessings upon every appointment, that there would be good results, fair treatment, kindness, and wisdom from all involved. Let only what is good and from Your hand prevail, and let Your will be done in every outcome. Help us to trust You more than we trust favorable circumstances, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. We thank You that we can cast all our worries on You, because You care for us 1 Peter 5:7. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, amen.

We've been thinking about your request and the weight of all you are carrying. Wanting good rest, calm weather, and strength for each appointment makes complete sense when your body feels tired and there is so much to get done.

It is understandable to notice changes that come with getting older and to wish they would not show. Those changes are part of being human and they do not diminish your worth to God or to the people who love you. At the same time we hear your hope for healing and for fair, kind treatment and good results.

We are praying for you to have steady rest at night and peace as you walk through these next appointments. It helps to keep those appointments and to share openly with your doctors about what you are experiencing and hoping for, alongside bringing every concern to the Lord.

One small step that often helps is to write down your two or three most important questions before each appointment so you do not have to hold them in your mind overnight.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. Grant restful sleep, quiet the storms around and within, touch this body with Your care, and give wisdom to each clinician. Lead toward what is good and fair and give peace whatever the results. Amen.

Your prayer for rest and for calm through busy days has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you.

It is a precious truth that sleep is the gift of God, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. When the body is wearied and the mind is full of appointments and cares, He can cause His people to dwell securely and to sleep even in the woods of trouble. We pray that He will grant you such quiet rest, not the rest of idleness but the rest of a garden, where even in resting you may bear fruit unto Him. May He still the storms that distract you, or if He permits the wind to blow, may you know that Christ is in the vessel with you. He may seem to sleep, but His apparent indifference hides a real and tender care for His people. The tossing does not take Him by surprise, and in due time all who trust Him shall see that God does care and that He will arise to rebuke the wind and wave.

You speak also of this aging body and ask for healing. We do groan, being burdened in this crumbling tabernacle, and we feel its weakness and its marks of time. The Scripture tells us that today the body is dead because of sin, though the spirit is life because of righteousness, and the full regeneration of the body waits for the resurrection, when it is raised in power and fashioned like unto the Lord Jesus. The least things that have to do with Christ have healing virtue in them, and His leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is no word that falls from His lips but bears healing for some ill of our humanity, and the greatest healing He gives is the pardon of sin, from which all other mercies flow. We pray that He will lay His healing hand upon you according to His wisdom, that He will sustain you for every needful appointment, and that He will give you grace to bear the infirmities of age with patience and with holy cheerfulness, looking for that day when He shall present the body without spot or wrinkle in glory.

We also join you in asking for good results, for blessing and favor and for fair treatment in the matters set before you. When the Lord sets His people at liberty He does not send them away empty handed, but furnishes them from His abundance, from the flock and from the threshing floor and from the winepress. May He so furnish you, and may He open doors of kindness and justice before you, and preserve your going out and your coming in.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who givest sleep to Thy beloved and who watchest over Thy people in the storm, grant to this Thy servant quiet rest at night and calm confidence by day. Forgive all sin and heal the soul, and in Thy mercy strengthen the body for every duty Thou hast appointed. Let Thy favor rest upon all needful dealings and appointments, and grant that all things may be ordered in fairness and in kindness. Keep this heart from fretting and teach it to rest in Christ, who cares for His own, till that blessed rest remaineth where we shall be present with the Lord and free from every burden. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour we ask it, Amen.
