We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your son who is struggling with this respiratory and lung infection. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and restores us to health. We ask that You would touch this young man’s body with Your healing hand, clearing his airways, soothing his cough, and restoring his lungs completely. Let every infection be driven out, every inflammation be calmed, and every breath be filled with Your life-giving strength.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom for the doctors and specialists who are treating him. May they have clarity in diagnosis and effectiveness in treatment. We ask that You would open doors for him to be seen quickly, that the right medications would be prescribed, and that his recovery would be swift and complete. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We stand on this promise, believing that You are working even now for his healing.
We also want to encourage you both to continue seeking the Lord in this time. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* God is not only able to heal, but He is willing. Trust in His timing and His plan, even when the wait feels long.
If there are any areas where fear or anxiety has crept in, we rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We declare peace over this situation, knowing that God is in control.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One through whom all healing flows. May Your will be done in this young man’s life, and may Your glory be revealed through his restoration. Amen.
