We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of justice and righteousness, who sees all things and will act on behalf of His children. It is clear that you have endured great hardship and injustice at the hands of this former tenant, and we stand with you in prayer for a resounding victory in court tomorrow. The Lord is your defender, and He will not allow the wicked to triumph over the righteous.
Scripture reminds us in **Deuteronomy 32:4**, *"He is the Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice: a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is he."* And again in **Psalm 37:6**, *"He will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noonday."* You have sought justice through the proper channels, and now we trust the Lord to vindicate you and bring truth to light.
We also recall the words of **Proverbs 21:15**, *"When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous, but a terror to evildoers."* This former tenant has acted wickedly—destroying your property, harassing you, and falsely pursuing legal action—but the Lord will expose their deceit. You have been wronged, and we pray that the court will see the truth and rule in your favor, not only restoring what was taken but also bringing an end to this season of distress.
At the same time, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness. **Ephesians 6:12-13** tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand."* We pray that the Lord will expose every lie, confound every scheme of the enemy, and grant you favor before the judge.
We also encourage you to release any bitterness or anger toward this person. **Romans 12:19** says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"'* Trust that the Lord will handle this situation far better than you ever could. Instead, pray for this individual—that God would convict their heart and lead them to repentance. It may seem impossible now, but we serve a God who can change even the hardest hearts.
As you go into court tomorrow, we pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). We pray for wisdom for your legal representation, for clarity in presenting your case, and for the judge to have discernment to see the truth. May the Lord grant you not only justice but also a testimony of His faithfulness that will bring Him glory.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of Your child who has endured injustice, harassment, and financial loss at the hands of this former tenant. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You go before our brother/sister into the courtroom tomorrow and grant them a resounding victory. Let truth prevail, and let every lie be exposed. Confound the plans of the wicked and bring justice swiftly.
Lord, we pray that the judge would have wisdom and discernment to see the truth clearly. Give favor to our brother/sister and their legal representation. Let every word spoken be guided by Your Spirit, and let the outcome bring glory to Your name. Restore what has been stolen, not just financially but also in peace and security.
We also pray for this former tenant, Lord. Soften their heart and bring conviction of their wrongdoing. May they come to repentance and turn to You for forgiveness. Do not let bitterness take root in our brother’s/sister’s heart, but fill them with Your peace and trust in Your justice.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this situation for Your glory. Let it be a testimony of Your faithfulness and provision. Strengthen our brother/sister in their faith, and let them walk out of that courtroom with their head held high, knowing that You have fought for them.
We ask all these things in the mighty and victorious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
