Resorting of eyesight

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please for the restoration of vision to my ###. She is currently in the hospital and the doctors are saying they have done all they think will help. If there is a way Lord touch their mind to see. Just like you have the blind man sight in the Bible please restore my ###'s.

We hear the burden of your heart for your dear loved one in the hospital and we join with you in seeking the Lord together for the restoration of her eyesight. We know how heavy it is to hear doctors say they have done all they think will help, and we are reminded that our hope is not limited to what man can do, for nothing is too hard for the Lord.

We take comfort in knowing that Yahweh is the one who heals us. It is written, Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous. Psalm 146:8 and also I am Yahweh who heals you. Exodus 15:26. We remember how Jesus in His mercy touched the blind and gave them sight, for it is written, When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man's eyes with the mud, and said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam. So he went away, washed, and came back seeing. John 9:6-7. The same Lord who opened those eyes is still able today, for Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8.

We also notice that your request spoke of the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and it is written, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. Romans 10:9. So we come to God boldly only in the name of Jesus, trusting in His finished work on the cross for our forgiveness and our healing.

We pray together now in Jesus' name.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious loved one to You. Lord, You see her lying in the hospital, You know the condition of her eyes and the limits the doctors have reached. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon her and restore her vision if it is Your will. We pray You would touch the minds and hands of the medical team and give them wisdom beyond their own understanding, to see anything that may have been missed and to be instruments of Your mercy. We ask for Your healing power to flow, for You have said, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. Lord, we pray for faith that does not waver, remembering that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. James 5:15. We also pray for peace and strength for this family who is watching and waiting. Comfort them with Your presence, for You have said, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Let Your will be done in her life and let Your name be glorified through whatever You choose to do, whether by miraculous restoration or by Your sustaining grace. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this need before the Lord daily, trusting not only in His power to heal but also in His perfect love and sovereignty. Keep calling upon the name of Jesus, keep seeking Him in prayer and in His Word, and rest in the assurance that He hears the prayers offered in His name and that He is with your loved one even now in that hospital room. We are standing with you in prayer for complete restoration and for peace that surpasses all understanding.

We've been holding you and your loved one in our hearts since we read your note. Sitting by a hospital bed when doctors say they've done all they can is such a helpless, heavy place to be, and your love for her comes through so clearly in how you are asking God to touch her sight.

We are joining you in asking God for mercy and healing. We know He sees her, He knows every detail the doctors are weighing, and He is able to do what medicine cannot. We also know His ways and timing are not ours, so we keep asking while resting in His goodness and wisdom, whatever the next days hold.

When everything feels uncertain, a couple of small things can help you stay steady there with her. If you can, ask the care team to walk you through what they are seeing and what comfort measures are in place, and write down what they share so you can remember later. And let someone stay with you, a pastor, chaplain, family or friend, so you are not carrying the long hours alone. If you haven't already, the hospital chaplain can often come pray at the bedside when you ask.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this precious loved one to You. Please lay Your healing hand on her eyes and body, give wisdom to every doctor and nurse caring for her, and pour Your peace over her and over the family who loves her. We trust her in Your care. Amen.

Your cry for mercy on behalf of your loved one has been brought before the Lord, and we join you in lifting her before the throne of grace. To see one dear to you lying in the hospital, with the skill of physicians having reached its limit, is a heavy trial, and it is right and good that you should turn as you have to Him who is the great Physician.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, yet how gracious is it that we have a Saviour to whom no case is hopeless. The doctors may have done all they think will help, but the Lord Jesus has not done all He can do. His healing virtue is not spent. As it has been set before us, the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The fruit of His finished work is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, His lightest touch, are full of healing power to change the lifeblood and make the nature whole again.

You have asked that the Lord would touch the minds of those who care for her, and that He would restore her sight as He gave sight to the blind man in the days of His flesh. We pray with you to that same Jesus, for He is still the same. When He was upon earth He linked His teaching with His healing, and power went forth from Him to recover the blind and the palsied, and to show that pardon and healing are in happy conjunction in His hands. When He healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, to teach us that the healing of the soul and the healing of the body flow from the same pierced hands. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and from that great conduit Head abundant streams of healing still flow down to men below.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Sun of Righteousness with healing in Thy wings, look in mercy upon this afflicted one now in the hospital. Thou didst open the eyes of the blind, and no infirmity could stand before Thy word. Lay Thy hand upon her, we beseech Thee. If it be Thy gracious will, restore her vision, clear the darkness from her eyes, and grant skill and wisdom beyond their own thought to those who tend her. Speak, Lord, and let light come where there has been night. Yet, Father, not our will but Thine be done. Thou seest what is best, and Thy love never fails. Give to her and to those who love her a calm trust in Thy good providence, patience in suffering, and the comfort of Thy presence hour by hour.

And we ask, O Lord, that in this affliction there may be a yet deeper healing wrought. Let this trial be a means to draw every heart near to Christ for the forgiveness of sins, for what shall it profit though the eyes of the body be opened if the soul remain blind to Thy mercy. Grant faith to look to Jesus, to meet His eyes who already looks upon us in love, and to receive from His pardoning hand both forgiveness and, in Thy perfect time, a body without spot or infirmity. Till that day when Thou shalt perfectly heal all Thy people, keep us resting upon Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

We leave your loved one in His tender care, who took the sick by the hand and lifted them up, and whose compassion faints not. May the Lord sustain you as you watch and wait, and may His peace which passes all understanding guard your hearts in Christ Jesus. Amen.
