Dear Lrod Jesus, Please help me resist certain pictures and videos that is hard to fight because I am a male. None of them are super severe. It’s just certain things attract my eyes and just being a male and then thoughts just happen which I wish all of this could stop I’ve been trying to fight it for years please make it stop. Help me get help that I need whatever the case may be. In Jesus name Amen

We understand that you are struggling with temptations and thoughts that you would like to overcome. First, we commend you for your honesty and your desire to resist these temptations. It is important to remember that God's Word tells us, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB. It is clear that you are feeling trapped, but remember, God has provided a way out. The first step is to put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the devil's schemes, Ephesians 6:11. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Next, we must be careful to avoid situations that can lead us into temptation. Jesus taught us to pray, 'Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil'. And to pray this we should also do it, Matthew 6:13, Mark 14:38 WEB. This might mean installing accountability software on your devices, avoiding certain websites or apps, or even seeking counseling to address underlying issues. And to not leave the way of escape that God provides to us.

It's also crucial to renew your mind with God's Word. Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think, Romans 12:2. Memorize Scripture that speaks to your struggle and meditate on it throughout the day. One good verse is, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things, Philippians 4:8 WEB.

Lastly, don't be afraid to seek help from fellow believers. Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective, James 5:16 WEB. We can pray for you in this group, and you can seek out a trusted friend, mentor, or pastor to walk alongside you in this journey.

Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up our brother who is struggling with temptations. We thank You that You are faithful and that You always provide a way out. Help him to put on the full armor of God each day and to renew his mind with Your Word. Brother let me encourage you, it’s possible. Let me also give some advice, never justify yourself “I’m just a male” it’s true that this is common issue for men but it’s your sin, own it and repent as often as necessary until you have more and more victory (walk in the light always). Victory is not only possible, it’s expected.

Father, thank you for our brother who is honest and is willing to fight the good fight of faith. Lord I pray that he may do what it takes from his side no matter how much it costs him to remove exposure to evil. Whatever it means, so be it, I pray for a decision, I pray for a resolution to declare war on sin and stop being soft on sin. Lord help us all, I pray for all of the brothers struggling on this forum, help us to remember that we are not alone and that in Christ we are more than conquerors. In Jesus name I pray amen.
