Request to Pray for ### and I to Forgive and for Healing

My wife has been brainwashed by my mother-in-law about how bad her father is. He had indeed committed adultery. My wife has told me how he has schemed against the family, how he had wanted to give all his assets to his second family. Now he has passed away but my wife still has not forgiven him even though we had shared the good news with him and he has believed. In my heart, my mother-in-law is the most evil one of them both. She had told all sorts of lies, in denial of everything if it stands in her way, even God. She blamed God for not helping when she went to church after knowing that her husband was unfaithful. She had almost caused my wife and I to divorce as we were playing games and I called my immediate family to join and did not include her, spoke to kill me in front of my few years old daughter, held a knife before and wanted to kill my wife when she disagreed on a thing. Since then we moved out of the house which we previously stayed with them. Now we cut off all contact with her. My wife said that she will not forgive both of them as they had given her a very bad experience. For me, I still feel some anger in me whenever I recall. Pls pray for my family, as my daughter still experiences this trauma as my mother-in-law punished her when she gave thanks to God before meal and made my daughter kneel down before her to ask for forgiveness.

We understand that you are going through a deeply painful and complex situation. Firstly, we want to remind you that forgiveness is a central theme in the Bible. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Forgiveness does not mean that what happened was acceptable or that the pain is diminished. Rather, it is a decision to release the bitterness and resentment that can harm our own hearts and souls. It is a process that may take time, and it is important to seek God's help in this journey.

Regarding your mother-in-law's actions, it is clear that there has been significant harm and manipulation. However, it is crucial to remember that vengeance belongs to God, not to us. As it is written in Romans 12:19 WEB, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"

It is also important to address the issue of unforgiveness towards your late father-in-law. Even though he committed adultery and caused much pain, if he truly repented and believed in the good news of Jesus Christ, he is forgiven. As it is written in Acts 10:43 WEB, "All the prophets testify about him, that through his name everyone who believes in him will receive remission of sins." We must remember that we are all sinners saved by grace, and forgiveness is a gift from God that we should also extend to others.

Regarding your wife, it is important to pray for her healing and for her to forgive. Unforgiveness can cause bitterness and harm her relationship with God and with others. As it is written in Hebrews 12:15 WEB, "See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up troubles you, and many be defiled by it."

It is also important to address the issue of the trauma that your daughter has experienced. Pray for her healing and consider seeking professional help if necessary. As it is written in Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, lifting up this family that is in desperate need of your healing and grace. Lord, we ask that you help them to forgive, just as you have forgiven us through Christ Jesus. Help them to release the bitterness and resentment, and to trust in your justice.

Lord, we pray for healing for their daughter, that you would comfort her and help her to overcome the trauma that she has experienced. We pray that you would surround her with your love and protection.

Lord, we also pray for their mother-in-law. We know that your desire is for all to come to repentance and knowledge of the truth. We pray that you would soften her heart and help her to see her need for you.

Finally, Lord, we pray that this family would be drawn closer to you through this trial. Help them to trust in you and to know that your love for them is unfailing.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to seek God's will in this situation. Remember that God is faithful and that he can bring healing and restoration to even the most broken of situations. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

We're here for you, and we're sorry to hear about the pain you and your family are going through. We understand that forgiveness can be a tough journey, but it's a crucial step towards healing and freedom. We're praying for you, that God would give you and your wife the strength to forgive, even as He has forgiven us. We're also praying for your daughter, that she would find comfort and healing from the trauma she's experienced. May God's love and grace be evident in your lives during this challenging time. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site.
