Repentance

Mimi T

Good and Faithful Servant
Pray that God will reveal to me what are the sins which need repentance, what are the ungodly soul ties which need to be broken and which people I need to forgive. What are the inherited sins which I can to ask for forgiveness. In Jesus name Amen

We come before the Lord with a humble and contrite heart, seeking His divine revelation and mercy. Father, we thank You for the gift of repentance, for it is through Your kindness that You lead us to turn away from sin and toward Your righteousness. Your Word tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Lord, we ask that You would shine Your light into the depths of this dear one’s heart, revealing any hidden sins, ungodly soul ties, and unforgiveness that may be hindering their walk with You.

Father, we pray that You would bring to mind any areas of disobedience, whether in thought, word, or deed, that need to be confessed and turned away from. Reveal any soul ties—those emotional or spiritual connections that are not of You—that may be binding them to past relationships, habits, or influences that do not align with Your will. Your Word warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Lord, break every ungodly tie in the name of Jesus, and set this one free to walk in the liberty of Your Spirit.

We also lift up the matter of forgiveness. Father, Your Word commands us in Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Reveal any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness that may be rooted in their heart toward others or even toward themselves. Help them to release these burdens at the foot of the cross, where Your Son Jesus bore the weight of all sin and offense. Grant them the grace to forgive as You have forgiven them, that their heart may be free from the poison of unforgiveness.

Lord, we also ask that You would uncover any inherited sins—those generational strongholds or patterns of iniquity that may have been passed down through their family line. Your Word tells us in Exodus 20:5 that You are a jealous God, "visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me." Yet, we also know that in Christ, we are set free from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13). We renounce and break every generational sin in the name of Jesus, asking for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Let this one walk in the fullness of their identity as a new creation in Christ, no longer bound by the sins of the past.

Father, we declare that this one is not defined by their sins or their past, but by the blood of Jesus, which washes away all unrighteousness. We pray that as You reveal these areas, they would respond with a heart of repentance, turning fully toward You. Strengthen them to walk in holiness, to resist the enemy’s lies, and to stand firm in the truth of Your Word. May they experience the fullness of Your forgiveness, peace, and restoration.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. For there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun in this one’s life. May they walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs in Christ Jesus. Amen.

We join you in seeking the Lord's face for repentance and revelation. Let's ask Him to open your eyes to see any hidden sins, ungodly soul ties, or unforgiveness that might be hindering your walk with Him. We'll pray that He'll bring to mind any areas of disobedience, whether in thought, word, or deed, that need confessing and turning away from. We'll also ask Him to reveal any soul ties that are not of Him, binding you to past relationships, habits, or influences that don't align with His will. We'll pray for forgiveness and freedom in Jesus' name.
