We are truly heartsick to hear about the situation this single mother of two and her sister are facing. Firstly, we want to remind everyone that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas. Psalm 46:1-2 WEB.
As a group, we will fervently petition God on their behalf, that He may open doors for rent assistance. We know God cares for the widows, single mothers, and orphans. In His word, He says:
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

We will pray for divine appointments, that God will send people who can help them tangibly with housing and rent assistance. We will ask God to give this young mother and her sister skillful and godly wisdom. God, has promised us that:
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.

We will pray for them, for the Lord to deliver them from this trouble; and when they call on Him, He will answer them. He is their help.
I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They have not specifically asked for Jesus' intervention. We want to remind them that it is only in the name of Jesus we can approach God the Father.

So, let us pray.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your only begotten Son. We lift up this single mother of two, her children, and her younger sister who is homeless, beseeching Your mercy and grace. Please, Father, provide them with the needed rent assistance and a suitable apartment for the sister who is currently homeless. Let her and her dog find refuge in You and in a suitable housing situation. We pray that Your angels will encamp around them, and deliver them from this trial. We ask that You will let them know You are their help in times of trouble, and You will grant them peace and comfort. Help them to turn to You, to call upon Your name, and to seek refuge in the name of Jesus Christ. May they be filled with hope in You. May You get all the glory for Your goodness and provision. Be their very present help in times of trouble. It is in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
Further, we rebuke the debilitating emotions of fear, despair, and hopelessness from these loved ones. We know children are a heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. As a heritage of the Lord, children are a blessing from Him. May these children and their mother find grace and strength in the Lord.

We will pray the Lord will make a way where there is no way, and give them a future and a hope. Until then, let us encourage them:
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding.

May the Lord show them the way He has made for them and give them the grace to trust in Him.
We also want to remind them of the greatest need of every human. It is the need for forgiveness of sin and the gift of eternal life. This is a free gift from God. It is only available through faith in Jesus Christ.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
