We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is carrying the weight of past abuse and trauma. The scars of such experiences run deep, and the journey toward healing can feel exhausting, but we know that our God is a God of restoration and renewal. In Isaiah 40:31, we are reminded, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* This is not just a promise—it is a divine assurance that when we place our trust in Him, He will sustain us, even when our own strength fails.
Father, we ask You to pour out Your healing balm upon this precious one. Where there is brokenness, bring wholeness. Where there is fear, replace it with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Where there is weariness, infuse them with Your supernatural strength. Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep them bound in shame, guilt, or despair. You did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this child of Yours is not defined by their past but by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
We also pray for resilience, Lord. Trauma can make the world feel unsafe, but we ask that You would be their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Teach them to lean on You in every moment of weakness, for Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Surround them with godly community—believers who will speak life, pray without ceasing, and walk alongside them in love.
And Lord, if there are areas where bitterness, unforgiveness, or anger have taken root, we ask that You would soften their heart. Help them to release these burdens to You, for vengeance belongs to You alone (Romans 12:19). Fill them instead with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We thank You, Jesus, that You are the Great Physician, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in this life (Philippians 1:6). May they rise each day with a renewed sense of purpose, knowing that they are deeply loved, fiercely protected, and called for such a time as this.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
