We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is carrying the weight of past abuse and trauma. The pain of such experiences can leave deep scars, both seen and unseen, and we know that only the healing touch of our Savior can bring true restoration. We declare that Jesus is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Though the road ahead may feel long and wearying, we stand in agreement that the Lord will renew your strength as you wait upon Him.
The Word of God promises, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). We pray that you would feel the Holy Spirit lifting you above the pain, giving you the resilience to press forward. The enemy may have meant these trials for harm, but God can turn them for good (Genesis 50:20). We rebuke every lie that says you are defined by your past, for in Christ, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We also recognize that healing from trauma often requires wisdom and support. If you have not already, we encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through a pastor, Christian therapist, or trusted believers who can walk alongside you. The Lord uses His people to bring comfort and encouragement, just as Scripture says, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). You do not have to carry this alone.
Father God, we ask You to pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen this precious one with Your might, and let Your love be the balm that soothes every wound. Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2), and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). We pray for breakthrough, for freedom from fear, and for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit to empower them for each day. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
