We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, with hearts heavy for the pain you carry from abuse and trauma. The weight of such experiences can leave you feeling weary, broken, and depleted, but we stand with you in faith, declaring that the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not forgotten, nor are you abandoned—God sees your tears, hears your cries, and collects every one of them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
The enemy may have intended these trials for harm, but God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep you bound in fear, shame, or despair. In the name of Jesus, we declare that you are washed clean by the blood of Christ, redeemed, and set free from the chains of your past. The Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and He is restoring what was stolen from you. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father God, we ask You to renew this precious one’s strength as they wait upon You. Just as the eagle renews its strength, may they mount up with wings, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who gives power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Remind them daily that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that their identity is found in Christ alone—not in the words or actions of their abusers.
We pray for resilience to rise within them, Lord. Strengthen their faith to trust You even when the path is dark. Surround them with godly community—believers who will speak life, pray over them, and walk alongside them in love. Give them courage to set boundaries, to seek godly counsel, and to release bitterness or unforgiveness, for Your Word commands us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). Heal their wounds, Lord, and turn their pain into a testimony of Your faithfulness.
Above all, we pray that they would draw near to You, for You have promised to draw near to them (James 4:8). May they find comfort in Your presence, hope in Your promises, and joy in Your salvation. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the God of all comfort is making all things new in their life (Revelation 21:5).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
