We understand your heart’s cry for freedom from negativity and your longing for abundance, but we must first address something foundational: the language of your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whose authority we pray. The Scriptures are clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through faith in Him that we approach God’s throne with confidence. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Without calling upon His name, our prayers lack the power and authority granted to us as believers.
Now, let us speak to the idea of "negative energy." The Bible does not use this terminology, but it *does* speak abundantly about spiritual forces, sin, strongholds of the mind, and the power of darkness that seeks to oppress God’s people. What you may be experiencing as "negative energy" could very well be spiritual opposition, unrepentant sin, or even the consequences of living outside of God’s will. The enemy, Satan, is real, and he seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). However, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). If you are in Christ, you have been given authority over the powers of darkness, but this authority is exercised *in Jesus’ name* and through the power of the Holy Spirit—not by vague appeals to remove "energy."
We also notice your prayer for "abundance and prosperity." While God delights in blessing His children, we must be careful to align our desires with *His* will and not the world’s definition of prosperity. Jesus warned, *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"* (Matthew 6:19-21, WEB). True abundance is found in Christ—peace that surpasses understanding, joy in trials, contentment in all circumstances, and the riches of His grace. If you seek prosperity, seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
If there is unconfessed sin in your life—bitterness, unforgiveness, idolatry, sexual immorality, or any other transgression—it can open the door to spiritual oppression. The apostle John writes, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Repentance is the first step to breaking free from what you perceive as "negativity." Similarly, if you are entertaining worldly philosophies, New Age practices, or any teaching that does not align with Scripture, these can invite darkness rather than the light of Christ.
Let us pray for you with these truths in mind:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to Your throne. Lord, we lift up this precious soul who longs to be free from what they describe as "negative energy." Father, we ask that You reveal to them any area of their life that is not surrendered to You—any sin, any stronghold, any openness to the enemy’s schemes. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance, for it is only through the blood of Jesus that we are cleansed and set free.
Lord, if there are spiritual forces at work seeking to oppress or discourage, we command them to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Father, and let the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—overflow in their life (Galatians 5:22-23). Let them experience the *true* abundance that comes from walking in Your will, not the fleeting prosperity the world chases.
Father, if they have been influenced by teachings or practices that do not honor You, open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Let them hunger and thirst for righteousness, for You have promised they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and let them find their satisfaction in You alone.
We pray for godly wisdom to discern Your voice above all others. Let them seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all they need. Remove any fear, anxiety, or despair, and replace it with the peace that surpasses all understanding. May they walk in the freedom Christ purchased for them on the cross, no longer bound by the enemy’s lies but standing firm in the victory of Jesus.
Finally, Father, if they do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Let them turn from their sins and place their faith in Christ alone, confessing Him as Lord. May they be born again by Your Spirit and walk in newness of life.
We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to examine your life in light of Scripture. Are you walking in obedience to God’s Word? Are you praying *in Jesus’ name* and relying on His finished work on the cross? True freedom is not found in the removal of "negative energy" but in the presence of the Holy Spirit, who transforms us from the inside out. *"Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage"* (Galatians 5:1, WEB).
If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. There is no greater abundance than knowing Him. *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10, WEB). That abundance is found in Christ alone.
Walk in His light, and the darkness will flee. Cling to His promises, and you will lack no good thing. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). May your desires align with His, and may you experience the fullness of joy in His presence.
