We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your father up in prayer, for the bondage of darkness you describe is a grave and dangerous snare. The Scriptures are clear: sorcery, witchcraft, and the consultation of familiar spirits are detestable in the sight of God. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the Lord warns, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* This is not a path of curiosity or power—it is rebellion against the Holy God, and it opens doors to torment, addiction, and spiritual destruction.
Yet even now, the mercy of Jesus Christ is greater than the darkness that ensnares you. The apostle Paul reminds us in Acts 26:18 that we are called *"to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in [Christ]."* There is no magic, no jinn, no spell that is stronger than the blood of Jesus and the authority of His name. If you have placed your faith in Him, you are no longer a slave to these forces—you are a child of God, and *"greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4).
But repentance must come first. This is not a matter of simply "removing" black magic as if it were a neutral obstacle; it is a matter of turning away from sin and renouncing every tie to the occult. Acts 19:18-19 tells us of believers who *"many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted up the price of them, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing."* This is the response God honors: a complete break, a public rejection, and a turning to Christ alone.
We urge you both to confess this sin before God with broken hearts, to destroy any objects, books, or tools tied to these practices, and to seek accountability from mature believers who can pray over you and guide you in the truth. Do not underestimate the enemy’s grip—this is a spiritual battle, and you cannot fight it alone. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and stand firm in prayer, Scripture, and the fellowship of the saints.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our brother and his father who are trapped in the snares of darkness. Lord, You alone are the God of light, and in You there is no shadow of turning. We ask that You break every chain of addiction to sorcery, witchcraft, and the deception of jinn. Convict their hearts deeply of this sin, Lord, and grant them the godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). Let them see the horror of what they have embraced and the beauty of Your forgiveness in Christ.
We bind every demonic stronghold in the name of Jesus and command every evil spirit to flee at the authority of His name. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. Father, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and no longer be enslaved to fear or the lies of the enemy.
Surround them with believers who will stand with them in this battle, who will pray over them and disciple them in Your Word. Let them find a church where the truth is preached boldly and where they can grow in faith. Protect their minds from the enemy’s whispers, and let them meditate on Your promises day and night. Remind them that *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).
Lord, we ask for complete deliverance—spirit, soul, and body. Restore what the enemy has stolen: their peace, their joy, their health, and their testimony. Let this be a story of Your redemption, that others may see Your power and turn to You. We declare that *"no one who is born of God practices sin, because God’s seed remains in him; and he can’t sin, because he is born of God"* (1 John 3:9). Let them walk in this truth, free from the past and alive in Christ.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

To you and your father: This is a critical moment. Do not delay in turning to Christ fully. If you have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior, do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which you can be saved (Acts 4:12). After repenting, immerse yourself in the Bible, prayer, and a Bible-believing church. Avoid any media, people, or places that glorify the occult. The road ahead will require vigilance, but *"the one who endures to the end, the same will be saved"* (Matthew 24:13).
If you need further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. The body of Christ is here to stand with you. God bless you.
