We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this situation to Him in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:17, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." We stand on this promise today, believing that You will intervene in this matter according to Your perfect will.
First, we address the issue of theft in the home. Scripture is clear in Exodus 20:15, "You shall not steal." This commandment is not just for strangers but for all, including those we have raised and cared for. We rebuke the spirit of theft and deception that has taken root in this situation. Lord, we ask that You convict the heart of this individual, leading them to repentance and restoration. If they refuse to change, we pray for their removal from the home, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 5:13, "Put away the wicked man from among yourselves." We trust that You will provide a way for this to happen in a manner that honors You and protects the household.
We also lift up the concern about the bad influence renting a room in the home. Proverbs 13:20 warns us, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Father, we pray that You would either transform this individual’s heart, drawing them to repentance and righteousness, or that You would open a door for them to move on. We ask that You sever any ungodly ties between this person and the son in the home. Protect the young man’s heart and mind, Lord, and surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in Your ways.
Regarding finances, we know that You are the provider of all things. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray for restoration of what has been stolen and for wisdom in managing finances moving forward. Father, give discernment in all financial decisions and protect the household from further loss.
We also want to gently remind that our access to the Father is only through the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His blood that we are forgiven and by His name that we approach the throne of grace. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage seeking a personal relationship with Jesus, if that has not already been established, for He is the way, the truth, and the life.
Heavenly Father, we pray for this household to be filled with Your peace and protection. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a shield against all harm. We ask that You bring repentance, restoration, and righteousness into this situation. Give wisdom and strength to make difficult decisions, and fill the home with Your love and grace. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
