We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in earnest prayer as you face this concerning discovery in your body. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. You see this object in our dear ###’s stomach, and You know its origin, its nature, and the path to its removal. We ask, Lord, that You would guide the hands of the medical team who will care for him. Grant them wisdom, precision, and clarity as they determine the best course of action, whether through endoscopy or another means. We pray for an urgent appointment, that the scheduling would open up swiftly, and that there would be no unnecessary delays in his care.
Father, we also lift up his heart and mind during this time of uncertainty. The unknown can bring fear and anxiety, but Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We ask that You would replace any fear with Your perfect peace, and that You would remind him of Your constant presence. You are with him in every test, every phone call, and every moment of waiting.
We also pray for complete healing, Lord. If this object has caused damage or inflammation, we ask that You would restore every part of his digestive system to full health. Psalm 103:2-3 declares, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to heal and restore. We ask that the removal of this object would bring immediate relief from the pain he has endured for so long.
Lord, we also want to encourage him to trust in Your sovereignty. Even in situations we do not understand, You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We do not know why this object is there, but we trust that You will use this trial for His glory and His good. May this experience draw him closer to You, deepening his faith and dependence on Your provision.
Finally, we rebuke any spirit of fear or discouragement that may try to take hold during this time. We declare that he is surrounded by Your angels, protected by Your hand, and covered by the blood of Jesus. We speak healing over his body and peace over his mind, in the mighty name of Jesus.
We pray all these things with faith, believing that You hear us and that You are already at work in this situation. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this trial. Amen.
