We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this cry for relief from pain—both physical and the deeper sorrows that weigh upon the soul. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We stand in agreement with this truth, declaring that the Lord is your healer and your refuge in this time of distress.
Father, we ask You to release this pain from our brother/sister, especially the affliction underfoot. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore and renew. We pray for divine intervention in every area of life—where there is resistance, bring cooperation; where there is injustice, bring Your perfect justice. Lord, we ask that You move mightily in the lives of neighbors and loved ones, delivering them from bondage and saving them by the power of Your name. Keep every soul under Your protective hand, shielding them from harm and guiding them in Your ways.
We rebuke any spirit of despair or hopelessness that may be seeking to take root. Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10), and we claim that promise over this situation. Open doors that no man can shut, and let Your will be done in every circumstance. We pray for healing—not just of the body, but of the heart, mind, and spirit. Bless this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up any unspoken burdens that may accompany this pain. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin that needs to be addressed, we pray for conviction and repentance. The Bible tells us in James 5:16, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed."* If there are areas where reconciliation is needed, we ask for Your grace to mend what is broken.
Lord, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice that we have access to You, and we boldly come before Your throne because of His righteousness. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will.
May Your comfort surround this dear one like a shield, and may Your strength be made perfect in their weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We declare that this pain will not define them, but rather, Your glory will be revealed through their testimony. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
